Heritage Stay

Reviewed By Colsun

We visited the National Hotel for 4 nights and thought it was a great room in a top location for a Fremantle stay. The room is super clean and the staff were really helpful. We received a $150 voucher to use for food and drinks because we booked directly with the hotel. We also received 2 drink vouchers for The Old Courthouse, which is a beautifully restored building that has a pub style bistro and bar and is an easy walk a few streets away. There was a band playing on the first night at the National Hotel and the muffled sound did drift up to the room but on the other nights it was much quieter. There are complimentary earplugs provided if needed! Our room was a Deluxe Queen with balcony and the verandah was huge and has a couple of seats to sit and enjoy a quiet evening drink! The rooftop bar has amazing views across Fremantle too. It was handy to all the cafes, pubs and restaurants in Fremantle.

Lovely hotel

Lovely, quirky hotel situated round the corner from the Cappuccino strip, where you'll find some great restaurants and cafes. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The light breakfast inclusion is a great idea and set us up for the day. We stayed three nights but wish we'd stayed longer. It was the 'pick of the bunch' from our three week trip to WA.

Good experience

Great location and overall good hotel. If it had snacks and drinks in room or ability to get them easily, it would be even better. Small fitness and expanding this would be better as well, but overall good experience.

Good location but rather dated

Reviewed By LynsD2011

Stayed for three nights. The hotel is a bit dated, and for the price per night I would have expected the common areas to be more modern. It's a nice looking building from the front. It was alright, we didn't spend much time at the hotel at all given the common facilities seemed to catered to older couples than families.

Tower studio apartment

Reviewed By DadandCab

We stayed in a south facing studio apartment. The room, facilities and furnishing were great, the bed comfortable and the bedding good. Large bathroom and good towels. The kitchenette was also very well equipped however the miniscule freezer in the mini fridge struggled to even freeze ice cubes in 24 hours let alone keep anything else frozen. Aside from that, the only downside was boat noise from the harbour (we like to sleep with windows open though) and lots of spray on the windows compromising the view from inside, but hey, you are metres from the ocean and the view from the balcony was perfect. Staff were great too with everyone we encountered friendly and helpful.

Highly recommend Peir 21

We had a two night stay here as our home was flooded so we were unable to stay in our home. From the first phone call, the manager was very accomodating, helpful and went above and beyond to accomodate us. Sarah at reception was very friendly, welcoming and helpful also. They even held the room to extend our stay, in case we were unable to return home, which was so lovely of them and very much appreciated. The room was very clean and tidy, equipt with a kitchen and all the essentials and the view was beautiful over looking the river. The gym and tennis court facilities were an added bonus. We highly recommend a stay here and will definitely be back. Thank you for making our situation a lot easier for us and making our stay very present. Emma and Jake

Really bad

Reviewed By kayishai

My partner and I booked this for two nights and only stayed one due to the poor state of our room. Firstly, the bed was really uncomfortable and hard and we both woke up sore. The bed sheets were also rough and itchy. The shower had mould and has very very light water pressure .. The hotel in general is an older fitout with scratched furniture and a fair amount of dust. The shampoos and conditioners were empty in our rooms. There was no tooth paste or bottled water provided which I would say are essential for a hotel stay. For almost $300 per night this was more of a cheap motel than a 4 star hotel experience. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, ever. it’s the worst hotel experience we both ever had. We feel more exhausted rather than refreshed after our stay, we are both really disappointed.
