Not quite it though, but the place is clean and modern, I think the nicest modern hotel in a hundred kilometer radius. The restaurant is excellent, accommodating to vegans, the breakfast is very good and the woman who was maitre de was sweet and helpful. And Kudos to Flávia Maria for voicing her concern over a very small issue…. These people seem to care about their patrons and deserve the business.

The view and location are great, restaurant too, however staff are overworked, jacuzzis weren’t clean, one wasn’t working… to complete that, if you book a room near the top, on Friday night the club on the rooftop is so loud you cannot sleep. I won’t be staying at this place again.

Reviewed By HansieDubIt all started in Peniche, Portugal: the bartender in my hotel was Brazilian, from Florianopolis. He told me of his hometown, how great, beautiful, not touristy and cheap it was. Fast forward 18 months: for my wife's 60th we went to Rio de Janeiro and it's New Year's Party (amazing but very expensive) and then I unveiled my cunning plan: 5 days in Floripa! And so it went: direct flight there (and back- cheap) and a stay at the Blue Tree Premium Hotel. Very friendly reception, great corner room, all mod cons. Being a thirsty man I checked out the bar: great! And next (and every) morning's breakfast: brilliant. At the Mercado Publico we got to know an English Language teacher, who was making a life as a waiter: on his day off he drove us around (we paid for petrol and consumptions, mostly beer) and got a friend for life...

Reviewed By Daniel PThe staff is very helpful, breakfast is really good (especially for those, like my kids, that love sweets) and everything works fine. It is centrally located, walking distance from the start of the marathon, so that was good too. Nice pasta dinner, reasonable price. But....The rooms are older that they should and are very, very, very noise. The noise came from other rooms and a lot from the streets. They have old windows that do not stop sound so that was really bad. For the price you can do better.

It’s very close (2 blocks away) from a famous gay club Jivago and this was also one of the reasons of my stay there. I wanted something within walking and safe distance from there, so I can come back easily during the night. This was the best choice and the area seem to be safe as well. Of course, normal safety measures must be met. HOTEL OVERVIEW *** This is quite small, boutique style hotel mainly serving leisure guests (at least when I was there). It is for sure not the most spacious or luxurious hotel in the area, but offers very polished rooms for a reasonable, fair price. My expectations were lower, so this was a really nice surprise what they offer and how they actually care. Loved the attention to details there. Valet parking is also provided for charge of 23 BRL. Hotel is STRICTLY NON-SMOKING and they remind you about it everywhere (a little bit too many of these reminders in my opinion). PURPOSE OF THIS TRIP *** Leisure RESERVATION *** I have booked it using my British Airways Avios miles – through BA Holidays. LENGTH OF MY STAY *** 1 night – Dec ‘19 CHECK-IN *** I arrived there early afternoon. Check-in was quick, professional and hassle-free. LOBBY & RECEPTION *** Quite small, but perfectly clean and elegant. You can see already there, that the owner and the staff likes to keep everything in a perfect condition as everything was spotless clean, placed in a right way and where it should be. There’s also coffee and lemon-water for guests if they want to help themselves. ROOM *** #904 – Executive Queen Bed Room – their standard room. It was quite small in size, but quite smart built, so you do feel comfortable there. There’s plenty storage space, working desk, big mirrors and lovely bed. There’s also a safety deposit box, flat-screen TV, mini-bar (very reasonably priced). As mentioned before, the entire hotel (incl. rooms) is strictly non-smoking (I think penalty they charge is 300 BRL). Not that I cared as I don’t smoke, but clearly noticed all notifications. Air-conditioned very efficient and easy to operate. BATHROOM *** Also boutique elegance. I loved that you can open the window there as well. Everything was spotless clean and also good quality toiletries were provided. BREAKFAST *** This was included in my room rate and breakfast was served downstairs. Really nice selection of warm and cold meals served in a elegant restaurant. I really enjoyed it and it’s definitely one not to be missed. Good selection of various freshly prepared meals, fruit, juices, various hot and cold dishes etc. And, as always in the Brazilian hotels, a choice of just baked cakes and coffee. I did enjoy it. INTERNET ACCESS *** Complimentary Wi-Fi was also included in my room rate. Easy to log-in and connection was good. CHECK-OUT EXPERIENCE *** Quick and efficient. Paid for my incidentals and also got my car taken from the garage in minutes. Very efficient. STAFF *** Professional and friendly. OVERVIEW *** I did enjoy my short stay there and it was perfect for the night out at Jivago (famous gay club). I would definitely consider that option if you wanted to be within a walking distance from there. Rooms were plush and comfortable and even standard room for the lowest price – luxurious and comfortable enough. Happy with the choice and value for money. Would I come back? Yes, definitely. I would just probably higher category rooms next time. It’s a good choice with a solid delivery.

Despite the confirmed booking, and the payment done, my room was not available. The Hotel was full , and the staff in the reception simply told me that I should find a room by myself. Total disrespect with my reservation. One of the most terrible experiences I had.

Reviewed By jgdinizI have checked-in around 23h to 00h on Thursday, December 18th. When I entered the room assigned to me (#513), I have noticed the safety door lock (hook) was broken. Even though, I decided to move on and prepare myself to take a shower. With a mix of surprise and astonishment, I noticed there was no, not a single one, soap bar. I decided to call the reception desk, and after a reasonable time with no one answering the phone up, I gave up. Since I'm a frequent traveler, I always bring with my stuff, extra hygiene products. It was my salvation. That whole situation was unacceptable, considering the hotel name and the basics for this segment service.
