Having stayed at the Winning Post overnight last year we thought we would return. I have to say the rooms have deteriorated over the last year, shabby chic they’re not just plain shabby! Scratched paintwork on the doors, the bedside tables were peeling, there was an intermittent leak on the bathroom floor which the housekeeper tried to cover up with a bin but to no avail. Hot water for shower was just not there however it was for the sink! Breakfast was absolutely dire, underwhelming to say the least, pale undercooked pastries, well 3 pastries to be exact ! 2 pots of yoghurt and packets of cereals, dear me! The coffee wasn’t too bad and the bacon sandwiches were ok too, which you have to pay extra for. But the staff! A scruffy looking chef sitting chatting to the waitress neither seemed remotely interested in us or the other guests but perked up when a friend came in. We opted out off breakfast on the second morning. Dinner on both nights was the saving grace, above average food and the service was certainly better than at breakfast. The room rate and a supplement because it was Bank holiday , would we return? No!

Appalling standards

All round the worse hotel stay I have ever had, I travel every week all over the country and Travelodge Bracknell Central is the worst stay of all. Cleanliness and standards of bar area are very sub standard, the food offered is of the poorest quality. A fight broke out in the reception area and police had to be called, hotel full of inebriated guests, the hotel had the feeling of a stag do.

Never, ever again!

Stayed here in June 2021 and quite liked it so booked again for May 2022. Many reviews report cleanliness issues which I disagree with, our room was spacious and very clean with a good quality bathroom. HOWEVER, the noise at night during our last stay was unbelievable. There is a night club in the hotel which is open until 2.30 am and, at least on the night we were there, seems to be popular with 'swingers' whose energetic activities in the room next to ours were clearly audible through the very poor soundproofing. That, combined with loud conversations in the corridor, screaming children slamming doors etc meant we had no sleep at all.

Terrible place

Reviewed By GeorgeHilliard1997

Me and my Partner were visiting Bracknell to meet with some friends and decided to try this place as it seemed to be good value for money. Upon arriving there was no staff or signage to tell us that we had to walk to a separate location to check-in. When we eventually phoned up and asked what was happening, the staff on the phone were short with us and extremely unhelpful. When we got to the second location, nobody was helpful and their attitude was terrible, they clearly did not care about us, and lacked any form of charisma. The room itself was absolutely vile, the carpets were filthy and the bedding was dirty, stained and discoloured. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the mattresses were mangled and damaged. Furthermore with the dirty room, we found 4 rather large spiders had taken a liking to the bathroom and bedroom walls. (Being terrified of spiders this is an obvious deal breaker) Whilst it doesn’t state anywhere toiletries are provided, it is somewhat insulting that a small, half used bottle of shampoo had been left and nothing else. Finally, the ‘breakfast’ was nothing more than a pot of porridge, and some out of date biscuits.(Not even any milk for the porridge). Not the sort of place I’d feel comfortable eating in to be honest and would definitely recommend that this place is demolished and rebuilt from the ground up.

What a wonderful experience

I was looking for somewhere to go for 7 of us from aged 87 to 6; not an easy task. I came across an advert for an afternoon of music and drinks/food at this place. I contacted the team and asked about taking our 2 small dogs, and what access for wheelchairs. The communications were fast, super helpful and really made us want to go. We turned up and nothing was too much trouble, every one of the staff and security went out of their way to help us. The music, food and drink was lovely and we felt very welcome indeed. We will be returning, I am more than sure.

Premier Inn Bracknell (Twin Bridges) hotel

It's not just Legoland - this part of Berkshire has all the building blocks for a great family break, while this Premier Inn offers free parking, on-site Beefeater restaurant, spacious rooms and extra-comfy beds. We're just outside of Bracknell town centre, a leisurely gallop from Windsor and Ascot, and a 30-minute drive from Thorpe Park. There's easy road and rail access to London's great shopping, theatres, sporting and concert venues. It's not a case of 'what shall we do today?' more a case of 'will we have time to fit everything in?'

Trip to Legoland

I chose this hotel to stay in on a trip to Legoland with my granddaughter. It was within easy travel distance at a great price. All the amenities and facilities were of the high standard that I expect from Premiere Inn. There is free parking which was a bonus. The town was 15 minutes walk away where there was an excellent selection of eateries and a supermarket. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Family Visit

Reviewed By dj562022

We used Premier Inn Bracknell as a base while visiting family. The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The only let down, but a big one for me, was how dark and dull the room was. Nothing like the bright airy rooms you see in the ads or website. The level of lighting was very poor. It was so dim I tried to switch the light on, only to realise the main ceiling light was already lit. It was so dim I could not apply make up in the morning. The carpet looked like it could do with a clean, but that could be attributed to the poor lighting. I was not expecting 5 star luxury and had a decent stay, but the hotel did not meet my expectations.
