Reviewed By 465morganmWe had a room overlooking the city center square and it was so fun to people watch, although obviously got a bit loud if the windows were open. The room and hotel itself is very modern and clean and enjoyable, perfectly placed right at the train station but still just a five minute walk from the beach and in the center. Honestly couldn't get a better location in my opinion. The breakfast was delicious with tons of options, would highly recommend paying for the breakfast because it was well worth it. And finally, the staff working in the lobby were incredibly helpful and friendly and we really enjoyed "meeting" them.

great location, not eco friendly, problems with wifi

Thank you Pros: - the location is ideal - right on the sea front - we had room 93 and the view was amazing - the hotel was clean, and the decoration was minimalist and classy, which we like - they accommodated our bike parking in the garage - good selection and quality breakfast Cons: - the wifi often didn't work. we were connected to the router, but there was no internet - although the view was great, our room was very noisy. every morning from about 7 we were woken up by water running, presumably other people showering and the pipes making lots of noise. - very wasteful - lots of single use items. cups and tiny toiletries in the bathrooms (why not switch to reusable cups and large dispensers like the shampoo in the shower); single use place mats at breakfast (why not just eat on the tables, they get wiped anyway); loads of sachets and individually wrapped portions at breakfast (why not offer it in larger containers, like the jam) - We didn't want any room service, told the cleaners that every day, and they still kept trying to force a bag of stuff on us each morning (see photos). We try to conserve resources, so reuse our towels and don't use all the single-use items in the room - so we don't want more forced on us!

Gatsby Hotel Blankenberge 4* - Adults Only is conveniently located in the centre of Blankenberge, 100 m from the beach and the North Sea shore, the main shopping centre and the train station. All rooms have airco, a complimentary minibar, tea and coffee making facilities and a safe with usb charger. The hotel also features a 100 square metres meeting room. There are 3 Tesla charging points in the parking. Sea Life marine centre is a 15-minute walk from Gatsby Hotel Blankenberge - Adults Only. Knokke is a 20-minute car journey away and Ostende 20 km away from the hotel. The town of Bruges is 12 km away. This is our guests' favourite part of Blankenberge, according to independent reviews.

Reviewed By TangOskkI’ve stayed in this hotel for 1night booked 2room the price was 343€. I have complain about the staff on a booking website. After complaining them, my girlfriend got a phone call from the staff at 8:52pm they say they want us to go change the rate and review because negative reviews is not a good image for the hotel. All I have complain was about the staff that knocked the door before check out time and told us that we have booked for 1person and why we are with 2ppl while we’ve booked for 2, when I told her that we’ve booked for two she didn’t apologise and turned around. I go downstairs to the lobby to complain this again, he complain us back instead of apologising at the first place. And yes, I was wrong in this place, I arrived very late because I have to drive far and with struggling with the baggages were we a bit noisy. But I don’t think this is the good way to deal with a customers. Especially if it is a 4stars hotel. Also the lift doesn’t work well and the floor in the hall is not even what can makes you fall. Other things about the hotel was good. Good room, nice breakfast.

Dirty, a lot of defects. Too expensive for what you get
Reviewed By Pm1706Too dirty, a lot of broken things. If you inform the reception about it, no actions are taken. The same dirty fingerprints were in the room for 3 nights. No sauna in the building. The sauna is in the other hotel and you are obligated to wear swimwear. The pics doesn’t represent the reality. Carpet on the stairs was dirty, old and at some places broken. The Price is much too high for what you get. Location is good

Reviewed By Delene vIt is a nice 3* hotel nearby the beach. Although bit old fashioned. Room little space to walk to bathroom. Advice take one table with chairs out. It is too much. Everything needs a little make-over. Staff very friendly. Breakfast good.

The room smelled very musty upon entering and was very basic for a star hotel. TV cables hanging loose. The toilet roll holder was loose. Very sloppy.

A clean ,and good hotel
Reviewed By stambu445484We stayed there 3 days, our room was clean but a little small. The beds we're very comfortabele tot sleep. There was a lamp that was similar to the old days/ like in the serie of peaky blinders. The breakfast was very nice

False advertising and rude!
Reviewed By travelguideinfoWe booked a sea view apartment! We got it reconfirmed and have the email plus call prior to booking. When we arrived we were disappointed as we got a city view room. Called them and last was so rude saying it’s my fault for booking the wrong room. Though I have proof beachfront and sea view.
