Great location, delightful staff that was always happy to help, our room was spacious & everywhere was clean & tidy. Only minor quibble is the room felt a tad stuffy at night needing better air circulation.

Very happy client

The hotel has a great culture and the staff is always willing to help, even their top management. Was very impressed by their GM Jeffrey who went out of his way to assist us with shipping our Comms materials after our conference. He was literally on the floor helping me package the materials, which was truly remarkable. Definitely, a great place to host a conference & a great place to stay on leisure. The hotel has spacious beautifully styled rooms and is centrally located which makes it easy to get around by foot or by tram.

Very pleasant stay in a beautiful part of Brussels

We spent two nights at this lovely hotel on Place du Grand Sablon. The room, though small, was quiet, modern and comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding with a great selection of food. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to find a Covid test site that was open on Sunday. We would definitely stay there again.

Affordable hotel at a good central location. Nice room. Good breakfast. Can be a bit noisy if you're on the street side like we did (you hear a lot of honking cars and sirens) so if you're sensitive to that bring earplugs. All in all we had a good stay.

1898 The Post

This small designer hotel opened in 2017 in the upper floors of Ghent’s old post office building. Located in the very heart of Ghent, the hotel offers its guests some of the best views in the city. The 38 guest’s rooms are decorated in a warm style- with high ceilings, dark green walls and antique furniture – complementing the building’s late 19th century architecture. With great views through the grand window, the restored wood and indirect lighting create a cozy atmosphere accented with a contemporary touch of freshness. The natural earth colours of the interior design combine a local sense of place with a relaxed feeling of being at home. The hotel’s crowning touch is the cocktail bar – called The Cobbler, after the special type of cocktail shaker. The bar’s ambiance reflects an old-time atmosphere- with a stunning view of the spires of historic Ghent.

Low budget

Reviewed By Chimpco

I stay in this hotel on a regular basis. Most of the times it is ok, but for the second time I was placed on one of the inferior rooms at the 6th in spite of being told it was an upgrade. The room was poorly decorated with a camper refridgerator on the floor. Even not able to sleep because of the noise of the airco. Positive exception is the rooftop bar with very nice bartenders.

Perfect location, great service, incredible breakfast

My husband and I selected the NH Collection hotel based on its proximity to Ancienne Belgique, guest reviews and the good-looking breakfast. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. We arrived from New York at 7 a.m., took the subway to the hotel, and the INCREDIBLE front desk manager Pedro didn't hesitate to give us early check in at 10 a.m. The fact that we were able to take a shower and change our clothes set us up for success that entire day. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet, and our stay was superb. The hotel breakfast is by far the most lavish and delicious breakfast buffet I've ever had, and there were lovely touches in the lobby throughout the day and night--a water and candy assortment made it a fun place to come home to. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

The Dominican was chosen after a long research, as we were looking for good value for money, close location to the city center and high quality hospitality. We were positively surprised. Very professional welcome, very nice rooms, also a great bar and breakfast area. The Gym and wellness is small but due to COVID restrictions bookable, so we hat a private spa for an hour. Location is excellent, in just one minute, you are in the main pedestrian area, in 5 min at the Grand Place, so can fully recommend the stay here.
