Disappointing
Reviewed By Simona TI'm staying now in this hotel and I was looking forward for it. I've been here 3 years ago, but in the meantime, it seems that the quality of the services sky dropped. It is absolutely outrageous to have such a low temperature in the rooms, when you have an outdoor pool and, after enjoying it, guests are returning to a freezing room. I have signaled this problem to the reception 4 times and nothing happened. Never again!

The accomodation was excelent, the arhitecture and interior desing were of great quality, the food was very tasty, the atmosphere was pleasant and relaxant. Our child really enjoyed the private pool! Our hosts were very nice , welcoming and carefull!

Reviewed By Raluca LEverything was very beautiful. The guest house is very clean, with large rooms and bathrooms. The position on the river bank, as well as the arrangement of the place make everything very pleasant. The food is very tasty and varied, and the price is convenient. Also, a plus is that you can have dinner indoors or on the terrace. The host also offers a refrigerator where you can keep your own food, but I recommend the food prepared there. You can also try a local drink offered with hospitality by the host. For sure we will return to Casa Valea Cernei in the next years for an other holiday

Nice amenities, but owner too bossy
Reviewed By ina gThe hotel looks very nice and the amenities are great, but the owner is bossy, has an attitude and tries to persuade you to do as she likes, not as you like. We tried to use the jacuzzi, which by the way is charged per person, not per use, which is ridiculous, and she went on and on regarding how to use it, that we should press the button exactly when the bubbles stop and get out when they stop again, as if we had never used a jacuzzi before. The next day, she told me that I should use the jacuzzi first and the pool next, because she does not want me to make noise while in the jacuzzi! And other such things. Too bad, because both jacuzzi and pool are great

Perfect
Reviewed By GeorgianulWe went there extra-season, in september, but we had a perfect time and a perfect service. The place is easy to find (and reachable by foot from the train station, if you like a long stroll and the weather is good). The nice lady there showed us to our room, gave us advice regarding things to do and places to see, took us into the beautiful and quiet back garden and brought us coffee and biscuits on the house on a candle-lit table with a tablecloth and everything, showed us the plants and the flowers there (we were amazed by how nice the garden looks) without intruding. We asked her about where we could go and have a thermal bath and she gave us the best advice and towels (we weren't prepared for a bath). The room was clean, quiet and we had enough space. We only stayed there for a night (made a stop travelling from Timisoara to Bucharest). Clean air, hot water, everything we needed. We weren't disturbed by anything, we got another coffee and some cake (on the house again) when we left there, brought to us in the little gazebo in the front garden. We left there with a wonderful experience and the promise that we would recommend this place to anyone who asks.

First night I was given a double bed room, not a queen or double bed but two singles together, with 2 single sheets. I was tires and crushed in. Next morning i went down and changed the room, they gave me a "matrimonial" room. But again two small sheets, one ripped, both dirty. See the pictures. The room is (yes, I'm in it right noe) extremely dirty, filthy. Carpets are soiled, furniture chipped, drapes stink, bad odor everywhere. Washroom, filthy again, I dont think they cleaned the toilet, no "Cleaned" paper band/ribbon on the lid and the inside was black dirty. If they cleaned it they must have seen there is no toilet paper. Yes, no paper, heard anything like this before? Tiles chipped and stained, see pictures please. I can't imagine some newly weds will spend their honeymoon in this "matrimonial" room. Not in this lifetime. With the Covid outbreak they were supposed to emphasize the cleaning. Never mind the extra Covid cleaning, rooms are not cleaned period, I dont even think the change the sheets. Horrible. The management doesn't endorce wearing the mask policy. People walk trough hotel, bar, restaurant amd entire facilities with no mask. They crowed the elevators to over capacity like sardines without any masks or separation. There are so many bad things, I could spend hours and won't be over. Just do yourself a favor and avoid this place. It is dangerousy unsafe and unhealthy. It is not a hotel is a garrison!

Reviewed By steeryourwayGood hotel, nice and polite staff. Surprisingly good restaurant. The soundproofing works only between rooms. Since there is no doorsteep, you hear anything that happens in the hallwayy as if it is in your room.
