Our hostel is located in beautiful Pipa. We are the only hostel in Pipa located right next to the beach. We have 34 dorm beds and 4 private rooms with priv bathroom. Some rooms have air conditioning. Breakfast is included: fruit, eggs, cake, bread, juice and coffee. There are many activities right next door at the beach: surfing, kite surfing, 4 x 4 tours, kayaking, biking and more. Communal kitchen provided.

Reviewed By Anne CThe hostel is very nice and the staff is definitely friendly. Overall it's a clean hostel and you also see them clean it very often. There didn't seem to be a lot of international guests though so if you don't speak any Portuguese it's not always easy to make contact with people. However, the staff really tries to speak English and you can definitely ask them anything. They also offer great surf classes with a supernice teacher! The hostel is very close to the beach so easy to go surf. Another big plus is that you can hear the waves when you're sleeping and the view out of the upper rooms is amazing.

You get what you pay for
Reviewed By Pedro PThe hostel is very well located. Friendly staff and that is all. Reception desk was always empty and it was hard to know who was the hostel’s employee and who were guests since they don’t have any sort of identification (tag or uniform). I stayed a 3 nights and every day there was a different person to report. The front desk is not 24 hrs, however they leave the key hanging on the all. If you are coming back late, you can just grab the key and get in. You can do that and anyone can do that. This is not secure. Cleanliness in the room was poor. The bunk beds were old, uncomfortable and cranky. However the bed sheets were clean. In my room had one lone traveler with four big bags ( probably his entire house was on his back) due this, there wasn't space to walk to restroom without bumping on his stuff. And I had to use my bag as a pillow during my stay. I must say, I got what I payed for, it was cheapest place to stay. This place must be one of those you love or hate, there was very controversial reviews.

Very expensive for such a place
Reviewed By ReaD55This is the illustration of what a dump is. Don’t let yourself be abused by the photos. They have to be at least 10 years old. The place is run down, has no isolation or any nice feature. Live music across the street until 23:00 (2:00 on weekends). No place to hang your clothes, not even a shelf ! Bathroom is so small you can barely get in the shower. No shampoo or soap… An expensive dump !

Located 300 meters from the beach and 150 meters from the main street of Pipa (Av. Baia dos Golfinhos), with easy access to restaurants bars, nightclubs and shops. Pura Vida Hostel offers double, triple and quadruple. Shared suites for up to 6 people. Breakfast, bed linen and towels included in the rates. Terrace overlooking the sea, bar and large screen outdoor projection videos and movies.
Nice stay but very loud music
Reviewed By Chloé CWe had a nice stay in the hostel it is very nice and well located. The staff and volunteers were helpful. The silence timing is well respected however from 10:00 to 23:00 the music in the ground floor is very very very loud which makes uncomfortable to enjoy the hostel.

One of the best hostels...
Reviewed By alexinl_a_26Enjoyed staying in La Serana. It checked all the basics of a great hostels, it is clean, comfortable, the location is close to many interest points, and the I met friendly people. Not only that but it has amazing deck views and a relax vibe. I will always remember warm nights hanging out in the hammocks while sharing stories with other travelers, and making drinking before hitting the streets of Pipa. Definitely recommend it!

Nice and quiet place to stay
Reviewed By heneedsfoodLocated about a 5-10 minute walk from the centre of town, this hostel is a relaxing place to stay. A leafy central garden with rooms to one side, and a cliff-top deck overlooking the ocean and beach spanning beneath. Stayed in one of the private rooms (#5) which has its own small bathroom and toilet, with a double bed, 2 bunk beds and air-con. There's wifi as well. Breakfast is said to be served at 8am but food does slowly come out by about 8.30. The owner has 5 dogs on the property, so if you like your pooches and some barking, this is the place for you.
