Had this restaurant on my list, was referred by our tour guide who helped us made our reservations for 6. Short walk from Hilton, was welcomed warmly, sat outside, and service was very attentive. Our first "Greek" meal was fabulous; cooked just right crispy calamari, grilled octopus & sardine salads, carbonara/smoked bacon, generous roast suckling pig, with complimentary soup and lemoncello slushie for dessert. As it was my first time the waitress suggested that I try the tasting set and so I did. The meatballs and the risotto was incredible tasty. Just for those 2 was already worth it. Then the rosemary pork was also very good and the rest of the dishes was just too much food for what I could eat. All this with quite kind staff. Id return if I could

We have not had a lot from the menu, but the horiatiki salad and the tzatziki are excellent. Also the pork skewers are very tasty and with the right amount of fat. If you want fat-free kalamakia then try something else, although a good kalamaki needs the fat and this is the way it should be.

The founder and owner Mr. Panagiotis is a 93 yo fellow who really worked hard in his life to rule and upgrade this great place for traditional dishes on the grill. Today he is sharing this success with his children and grandchildren. You'll find them with low profile over the charcoal , cooking the highest quality meats just to fulfill your expectations over the last 50 years (!). No matter what you choose to eat, you will remember these tastes and come back for more...

Enjoyed excellent cheese dishes of a variety and also tasty chops. Desert was simple but nice and the restaurant spacious.Unfortunately everyons smokes including in the non smoking area.

The place offers good quality meat related dishes and especially on weekends is full of families as it's been around for 40+ years without lowering its food quality. Service is fast but not something special as it is a typical tavern. It does deserve a visit to taste lamp chops, baby veal, tasty burger and more. It is located in an area that makes it hard to visit without a car. There is parking in front of the store that accommodate 10-15 cars and the rest park in the area. Bear in mind that It has nothing special in terms of decoration / atmosphere. you just go there to eat well cooked / grilled meat!

Paeania, the Liopesi of some decades ago, is scenic, pedicured and with several good eateries. Chouneri was gloriously described to us by gourmet-realis-aficionados, three in one. Cospopolitan eaters with a capacity for value for money. Our visit was memorable in approaching the rustic eatery, enjoying the articulate maitre d'o ~owner and the chief waiter and the clientele but:The little shrimps in the cone badly fried and with a disheartening aftertaste The weeds similarly in colour-texture and the tasteThe bakalao badly desalted and oven-grilled clumsily lacking body, tecture and that particular succulence of the Icelandic sagaFrench fries or chips badly friedCabbage and carrot salad wiry cut and dryPleurotus mushrooms banana-esqueAsparagus omelette- again nothing to write home about'Steaming' food presented with delayHouse wine acceptableProbably the night or our selection were not serendipitous but still- We do not reccomend it.
