We have been to Bacchus 1 several times over the past few years. Each visit has been a great experience. The menu is huge, so there is something for everyone. All the dishes we have had were excellent. I wish I had asked for the name of the ouzo that was poured before and after our meal. It was the best we've ever tasted. Service is very attentive. Seating is available inside and outside. Bacchus 1 is understandably very popular, so reservations are recommended.

We decided to try something different from German beer house and steaks, and found this restaurant with good reviews. It turns out to be actually quite good. The entrance is already unique with the blue bottle displays next to the bar. The menu has a good selection of salad, meats, and desserts. The main course comes with a free choice of salad bar. We had the platters for two which had the lamb chops, beef slices, beef patty, skewers of chicken and pork chops. The wine selection is also good. The highlight was the live music. Just a note that the male toilet was almost like a disco with the lights and music. Overall a very enjoyable dining experience and a hidden gem in Hannover.

We had been advised by the hotel receptionist that this was a good place for Greek food.Be warned, these people speak Greek and German. English is not their forte.But... service was friendly.And the food was great. We ordered several starters to share and the mixed platter was really good. We also had Tzaziki, garlic bread and the fries that are not fries (they were really good!).The one downside was that our mains arrived waaaaay too quickly.But... the lamb chops were great, so what the mixed platter (gyros, spicy pork sausage,...) and the accompanying rice-tomatoes and potato-tomatoes.I was full by then, but the home made ice cream we'd spotted on our way in had to be tried too.The pecan/pistachio I had were lovely.If/when I am in Hannover/Laatzen again, I will definitely consider returning here. Hopefully then there will be 4 of us to try the all you can eat. (Not that I eat huge amounts, but I'd like to try more different things...)

We were invited by friends to the Palladion for dinner. What a surprise we got. This is a very nice restaurant with very comfortable surroundings and furnishings. The food matches the quality of the restaurant friendly helpful waiters.

Die Einrichtung ist schlicht, aber sauber: Ziegel-Tapeten (!), Linoleum-Fussboden, aber angenehme Sitzmöbel. Die stammen noch vom Vor-Vorgänger, einem italienischen Restaurant. Danach versuchte es ein deutscher Inhaber. Jetzt also ein griechischer. Wir testeten das Restaurant mit typischen eingedeutschten griechischen Grillgerichten: Souvlaki, Souzuki, Giros, Schweinefilet und Tomatenreis. Das Souzuki war schlimm versalzen, konnte man kaum essen. Das Souvlaki dagegen in Ordnung, ebenso das Schweinefilet. Das Giros war sehr fettig und zu lange am SpieÃ. Der Tomatenreis wiederum sehr salzig im Geschmack. Vorweg gab es einen kleinen gemischten Salat, recht dürftig zusammengestellt und nicht sehr liebevoll angerichtet, das Dressing schmeckte nicht hausgemacht. Wir mussten auf die Hauptgerichte eine dreiviertel Stunde warten, ausser unserem waren aber nur vier weitere Tische besetzt, und es handelte sich ja um sehr einfache Grillgerichte. Der Preis war für ein Restaurant in einem Dorf auch nicht gerade günstig, sondern entsprach dem Niveau eines Mittelklasse-Griechen in der Stadt Hannover. Insgesamt ein enttäuschender Eindruck - für uns das erste und letzte Mal, leider.

This place is not that far from the trade shows. We were a group of 10 and they seated us in the back and this was great for conversations. They have a great menu with some vegetarian dishes. Grilled lamb was liked by all. They do not speak English that well and there were some goof ups in the order placed. But they quickly corrected that. Owners were very customer focused and made sure everything was done right.

We went there after working at the fair because my father recommended it to me. And gosh, he was not mistaken!The service was splendid, the food really really great. I am usually not a fond eater of Greek food, but maybe I just haven't been to the right restaurant yet. Now I can finally say that I did find my Greek restaurant!It's quite packed, though. We were lucky to get a free spot, but if you want to be sure, always reserve a seat as soon as you know you want to eat there.
