Dedicated golfers will like this course. It is challenging but not impossible, it's a real experience for visitors. The Victoria Gold Club is a sandbelt course, beware of the sandtraps.

Royal Melbourne is a championship course. The club was founded in 1891, and is known as "sandbelt course.". It has hosted many Australian and international tournaments. Royal Melbourne is a private club, but it has reciprocal arrangdments with other clubs overseas. The dress code is sensiible and not out of line with normal golf wear. The 19th hole is inviting, dress worn on the links is standard..

Cardinia Beaconhills Golf Links

Pictureque 27 hole golf course at the foot of Dandenong Hills. Quiet area surrounded by kangaroos and local flora. Small country club with small amenities but with plenty to offer for a great golf experience.

Played on a beautiful midweek afternoon, with a moderate southerly blowing. Easy to get a tee time. Course was in EXCELLENT condition. (only found one un-repaired pitch mark for the entire round). Great challenging course, particularly to get your distance control. Most holes wer uphill, or downhill, or even both; I can only recall one flat hole (a sort par 3) on the front nine. Course that will test your fitness as much as your golf game. Recommend that if you want to enjoy this course, but fitness might be lacking grab a cart. A great "gallery" of kangeroos to keep you company (I have never seen so many roos on a golf course). Hope to get back there soon
