Raggio Veneziano

RAGGIO VENEZIANO is a family company of artistic leather products, with one studio/stores in Venice. OUR MODELS are unique creations, products of our experience and creativity. OUR DREAM is to create leather bags with an authentic design ,handmade with needle, thread and traditional leather hand tools. THE COLOR AND THE BRILLIANCE of our bags are derived from the choice of using vegetable tanned in Tuscany. The tanning is done with natural tannins extracted from plants, without the use of substances prohibited by law. The tannins used and the slow process of tanning are the peculiarities of processing and quality of the skins.Small veins, blemishes, testify the naturalness of the material making each skin and then each bag unique. The INCLUSION of decorations in MURANO GLASS, in a modern interpretation, helps make our bags exclusive. Each pearl is always unique and therefore can have different shades of color and design.

If you’re a lover of leather bags then they don’t come much better than the gorgeous hand made bags at Reggio Veneziano. This was a return visit for us and we couldn’t resist getting special anniversary gifts of bags for each other. The quality is superb and they are so thoughtfully and stylishly designed by Anna and beautifully made by her husband Giorgio. The range is not huge - but I suspect that everyone would find something to meet their needs here. The leather itself is of excellent quality and bags can be custom made in whatever colour combination takes your fancy and even accented with Murano glass. Even visiting the shop is an experience in itself - a world away from other stores carrying endless inferior quality mass produced leather goods. As soon as you enter the shop you realise that genuine artisanal products are being made there. One piece of advice - head there early in your stay in Venice - not only because you might want something custom made, but also because you might want to return and get something else. Highly recommended!

My husband, who loves photography, and I went to Italy on our honeymoon. Atelier flavia gave us the best souvenir we could ask for - a Carnival themed photoshoot. The owner and her son were extremely accommodating and helpful. The owner was able to take a single look at me, know my size, and find a costune that would fit. We rented the costume for an hour, and the owner's son toured us around to nearby locations for photos. My husband took so many amazing photos of me. It was priceless. I also bought the gorgeous green velvet mask pictured below. It was reasonably priced and exquisitely made.

Hello! I visited a year ago and have remembered my visit many many times since. I just hadn’t reviewed it on here til now. But the hosts, their beautiful shop, their talents, their patience, friendliness, humour, good English, good value all made my trip to Venice worthwhile. What a find this shop was! I was so happy to have met them. I painted a mask with their advice here and there and it went up on my wall when I got home. As did another one I bought from the shop. I miss you both and thank you for the rendition of songs including “Isle of Wight” by Dik Dik. (L’Isola di Wight). I had such a happy relaxed time with you both. Wendy x
