Ich war vor ein paar Tagen mit meinem Dad Montagabends dort zum essen - wir bekamen den letzten freien Tisch (ausser im "Saal").Seit einigen Jahren führt nun wohl der Sohn das Restaurant weiter und ich muss sagen, definitiv nicht schlechter!Da er bekannt war für den Zwiebelrostbraten nahm ich den - medium-rare. Und bekam ihm ihn genau so (was machens Steakhouse nicht schafft). Perfekt gegart mit Zwiebeln und Pommes. Mein Dad nahm den gleichen aber medium und mit Spätzle. Auch das klappte!Wer regionale Küche mag, ist hier goldrichtigt!!

Wow! My mother treated us for a Boxing Day lunch in this place and what a fantastic experience it has been! On arrival we had a drink outside the restaurant in Karlsruhe's smallest Christmas market. For those who know the area, the Turmberg is just a nice place to enjoy a glass of Champagne with a view over the Rhine plain (The weather was excellent!). We then went inside the restaurant. We all ordered various tasting menus with accompanying wine flight. Unfortunately It is almost two months since we had this meal, therefore I cannot remember in detail what each one of us had. All I know that we all we in rapturous delight about the food we had. Even my mother who can be a bit difficult at times thoroughly enjoyed her meal. Everything was prepared to absolute perfection, a pleasure to look at and then eat. The wines, most of which were from the nearer German area (Baden, Pfalz, Wuerttemberg), went well with each dish and we were disappointed when it all ended! This is not a cheap lunch! But worth every pound (or Euro in this case) you spend! I want to go again!

I have visited this restaurant a few times so far, usually Saturdays during lunchtime. It is lovely when the weather is nice, you can sit outside, enjoy the sunshine and watch people passing by in the absolute center of Ettlingen. For the same reason, it can get crowded and more difficult to find a free table. I enjoyed all meals there, usually delicious Flammkuchen or Spätzle. Salads were good, too. The price level might be a bit higher than usual, but given the location and quality it's worth paying a bit more in my opinion. Service was very good each time as well. A restaurant I'll continue frequenting from time to time in future, too.

Essen in Ordnung. Portionen groà (ausser Spargelgerichte, da wurde gespart am Gemüse, trotz hohem Preis)Normale, gut bürgerliche Küche.Schnitzelgerichte -wie üblich- geschmacklich in Ordnung.

The food from this region is very under rated in my opinion. We had excellent local pasta, pfifferlinge (a type of mushroom), and pork with a cream sauce. I like to cook this type of food myself and although it is not complicated, the secret lies in the quality of the ingredients and this could not be faulted. The menu is seasonal and the produce is all local. I thought the prices were very reasonable. It's located in the heart of the town and it's probably nicer to sit outside, weather permitting.Service is a bit hit and miss, but they aren't deliberately rude. Overall, if you are a tourist coming to the region, this is a very good place to eat good local food.

I've eaten in many different Greek restaurants in Germany, and while none of them will ever having authentic Greek food in Greece or on Cyprus, the food here is really very good.

Live right down the street from the restraunt so on Friday nights we would walk there. Always busy, great atmostphere, great service. They are from Italy. They speak Italian and German. But always have someone there that speaks English. Love their menu, variety of many things. From pizza, fish, steak, spagetti and flamkuchen. Everything we have ordered we have been very satisfied.

Von auÃen sehr unscheinbar, fast schon abschreckend (Vereinsgelände, Beton-Parkplatz) aber sobald man durch die Tür geht ist man auf jeden Fall angenehm überrascht. Sehr gemütlich, sauber und vor allem, habe ich seltenst so ein engagiertes, echt freundliches Team erlebt, dass echte Freude an seiner Sache (kochen und bedienen) vermittelt. Wie wenn man zu einer netten Familie nach Hause kommt.Wir waren jetzt schon öfters dort zum Essen oder haben uns etwas mitgenommen. Und das Essen bestand jedes Mal aus frischen Zutaten und war frisch zubereitet. Vor allem Salat ist für mich immer ein Bewertungskriterium, was die wenigsten beherrschen. Der italienische Salat besteht hier nicht nur aus zerhacktem Eisbergsalat, sondern aus vielen unterschiedlichen Blattsalaten (in mundgerechten Stücken, keine braunen oder matschigen Stellen, sauber gewaschen,â¦) und dazu feines Sahnedressing (echt angemacht und nicht nur ein Klacks drüber geschüttet). Und die restlichen Zutaten sind auch schön klein geschnippelt und keine verklebten (wenn man alles übereinander stapelt und dann schneidet, ohne es hinterher wieder auseinander zu ziehen) Käse- oder Schinkenklötze.Die Pizza und das Pizzabrot gehören zur Fraktion luffiger, dünner Hefeteig (nicht die knusprige, dünne Variante oder die dicke American-Style). Perfekt wäre Sie für mich (und auch das Pizzabrot) wenn sie auf leicht gesalzenem Fett ausgebacken wären und auch sonst der Teig etwas würziger wäre.Oft komplett ausgebucht (Feiern) und reserviert. Vorher anrufen ist also durchaus zu empfehlen.DrauÃen sitzen kann man leider nicht so toll. Im Sommer stehen ein paar Tische vorm Restaurant und damit direkt auf dem unhübschen Parkplatz.Parken ist eh etwas ungünstig. Enge Sackgasse ohne Wendemöglichkeit und der Parkplatz ist am Ende der StraÃe.

I ordered my favourite meal as it was on the menu and asked for a dry white wine from the region. Super food and drink. Casual but no compromises. I'd definitely return. The high star rating is because of mid price, good food, and good atmosphere.
