We were happy to find this huge bar and restaurant on Boettcherstrasse because it seemed to be one of the few places in the centre serving drinks after midnight on a Friday. We didnât try any of the food â it was too late to order anyway â there only was time to enjoy a draught Kölsch beer (Rhineland) before closing time at 0.30 a.m. We liked the rustic interior and the walls literally covered in interesting black and white political photographs and more colourful posters. The crowd in the bar seemed to be a mix of locals and tourists. The strange name of the place, Staendige Vertretung (âPermanent Representation), refers to the Permanent Representation of West Germany in the German Democratic Republic (GDR), which existed from 1974 until the reunification of Germany in 1990.

Ratskeller restaurant is very famous but seems to be too prim - I even couldn`t have a lunch there without reservation and special permission from the restaurant administration office :(. I was surprised that waitress almost couldn`t speak English despite this place is highly touristic. She directed me to the administration office after I told her that just want to have a short lunch in this place with lots of free tables at that moment. Service is too slow. Food is basic and overpriced on my opinion. Interior, and probably wine, are the best things there. Beer was served almost warm. I don`t want to repeat such experience.

Becks im Schnoor is located in a cozy alley in Schnoor close to the Hochzeitshaus hotel, not far from the Bremer Geschichtenhaus, a living history museum. This charming restaurant in the historical Schnoor neighbourhood has a nice atmosphere. It was a unique experience dining in the Schnoor with buildings from the 15th and 16th century. The traditional wooden decor with nautical theme is beautiful and the flowers decorating the tables are a nice touch. For those who love boats/ships, the classical pictures of the ships on the walls add to the warm ambiance. There are 3 sections and a bar in this place. The lady who took our order and brought the food to the table was friendly. When I asked a question about a dish, she took the time to explain the ingredients of the dish and desserts on the menu in English - the extra effort made is much appreciated. Good service, here you can take your time to enjoy the meal.This restaurant has 2 separate menus - 1 in German and 1 in English. Their menu offers a wide and interesting selection of local Bremen as well as North German cuisine. They specialize in fish dishes, but the menu offers dishes with asparagus, grilled fish, chicken, beef and pork as well. In addition, they have good dessert choices - quality over quantity. The smoked salmon was mouth-watering. Curious to try a dish named after the area, the Schnoorpfanne (dish of pork fillet medallions with mushrooms and potatoes in a pan) was a delightful surprise. A hearty dish, the meat was tender and flavorful and the mushrooms were creamy. Further, I had the opportunity to try a bite of the Beck's steak - a good, juicy cut. Here you can enjoy Beck's lager beer as well as other beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Affordable prices, generous portions. All in all, we had a 'swell', enjoyable dinner here.

Schüttinger: Very welcoming large brewery/pub/restaurant that, to our surprise, also offers veggie dishes. We could taste their Helles and their Rotbier. We decided for the red beer, well brewed, fine bitter. During the daily happy hour the price for a 400 ml jug is only ⬠2.50. Wow.French fries and veggie burger are fine. Recommended, but be aware that a full pub is possible, So a reservation might be appropriate.There is also an entrance at the Böttcherstrasse.

It was a beautiful afternoon in Bremen. The server was efficient and polite. I ordered the fish platter, it was a generous portion of seafood, good vegetables, potatoes and sauce. The server recommended a white wine that complemented the food perfectly. Great value! Would go here again.

Great meal with a good choice of local beer. We chose the Pork Crispy Knuckle -excellent and the schnitzel also very good. Situated alongside the river really enjoyed the food. I have seen some comments that refer this to very good pub food, the presentation I would agree but the quality is excellent.Thank you very much for your visit and the great rating!

It was pretty crowded when we arrived due to a football match in the city. We were informed that the food might take a while to be prepared since there was so crowded. We've ordered some traditional meals and after waiting for about 35 minutes the food was in front of us. I might say the food was great and the service was impeccable. A nice place to eat and spend some quality time.

The interior emphasizes the history of the house and the menu supports this with a detailed description of the former owners and occupations. During our visit in May 2018, it was asparagus season and the restaurant offered several asparagus dished. We ordered Spargel Salzkartoffeln (asparagus with salted potatoes) (â¬12,50) and Spargel Medaillons (asparagus with pork medallions) (â¬18,50). The salty potatoes were fortunately not too salty, the asparagus tasted excellent and the hollandaise and pepper sauce were homemade. Enjoyable dinner with Schnoor Brau beer, a light dark pilsner beer, specially brewed for the Kleiner Olymp. It is clear that Kleiner Olymp is a popular restaurant. While other restaurants in the Schnoor fail to fill all the seats, the demand for a table in Kleiner Olymp exceeds the supply. Reservation is mandatory. In order to receive more guests, Kleiner Olymp started with an improvised street terrace resulting in long waiting time and poor service for all guests, because the street terrace overstretched kitchen and waiters. Kleiner Olymp offers delicious (not too heavy) North German dishes at very reasonable prices in an atmospheric house. Recommended.

Enjoyed a lovely late lunch in this quaint little restaurant. Two vegetarians in our party were able to find a good selection on the menu. Food was very tasty with large portions, also a variety of drinks available from teas to wine. Staff very friendly.

It was our last dinner in Bremen and we chose this restaurant because of Tripadvisor rating... we tried the jacobsmussels , salmon , herring and grilled eel ... all of them fresh and high quality. It is a fantastic option for your trip wrap-up!!!
