I've stayed here numerous time - good hotel for business but very limited as it's in the middle of an industrial estate outside Hamburg. Extremly friendly staff and good food at the restuarant for breakfast and dinner, Unfotunately not much else to do outside of the hotel !

We visiter the place 2 days in a row, because of it´s excellent food and atmosphere.At the second day, we all got tuna, wich we should cook ourselves on a hot stone. It was fantastic.The service personal was extremely kind and servicedminded.

Ganz spontan konnten wir hier zum Essen einkehren. Der Tisch war daher zwar nicht der beste Platz (direkt am Eingang), aber was anderes hatten wir aufgrund der kurzfristigen Reservierung nicht erwartet. Frittatensuppe und Schweizer Wurstsalat als Vorspeise machten uns Appetit auf mehr leckere Speisen. Das Wiener Schnitzel mit Pommes bzw. Bratkartoffeln und Gurkensalat, die Currywurst mit Pommes und auch der Kaiserschmarrn waren einfach nur köstlich und machten alle pappsatt.

We are staying at the Freisenhof Hotel near the airport in Hamburg for the fifth time. We noticed this time they have a restaurant they recommend. When we drove up we realized it was a huge building - half interior horse riding area and half restaurant, with big windows where one can dine and view the riders. (there is nothing shared with the stable except the view). Or one can sit in the garden room which is all glass with a view to the pretty grounds. It really is like a private club. We tried it last night, went back again tonight for my husband's birthday, and will return again tomorrow night for our last night in Hamburg. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. Generous main dishes are generally less than 20 euros. From the complimentary appetizer right through to the dessert everything was perfect. We especially liked the duck - tender, crispy skin, and on a bed of creamy sauteed cabbage.......excellent. We also had the steak, the rouladen and the zurich veal - all of them top quality. Even the rolls were excellent. Our compliments to Herr and Frau Berg for the way they run this excellent restaurant. They take the time to make sure their customers are well served and are very hospitable. A real hidden jewel in Norderstedt (Hamburg) near the airport.

This restaurant from the Hamburg franchise chain Schweinske makes good burgers with pork meat. The ultimate answer to the classical Hamburger. Good service. The restaurant is clean. The interior is budget style.

Hopfenliebe, which loosely translated means â love for hopsâ, is a rustic, brewpub located beside Norderstedt Town Hall and the marketplace. It is probably the best address in Norderstedt and definitely one that caters to locals and non-locals alike; the demeanor of the staff contributes to the pubâs great atmosphere and international flair. The concept of craft brewing is new in Norderstedt however Hopfenliebe, has quickly established itself to the âinâ location for craft beer and also has an array of seasonal German food on offer. The cuisine is magnificent: traditional German cuisine with a modern twist. I would definitely recommend this place!

Good meal out with family and friends, very patient and friendly service (especially as 2 of our party were 30 minutes late), menus in English but rather limited for those who cannot eat beef and nothing for vegetarians (yes I know its a steak house but you need to cater for all). Steaks well cooked but really annoying having a baked potato served in foil as most of the sour cream was not in the potato!

Staying locally while playing some shows. We didn't want the hotel breakfast so looked for an alternative. So glad we found this wonderful cafe. A very warm welcome and exceptionally fresh and tasty food.The staff speak perfect English and couldn't do enough for us. Great food and great value.Thank you from Portsmouth!!
