In the pedestrian zone close to the Hauptmarkt (main square) and the Dom you'll find this well known restaurant inside a nice old building (also terrace in summer).Friendly team welcoming you for lunch.Decoration is nice and clean. The tables have white linnen tablecloth&napkins even for lunch. Lunch menu is a good deal: you get a starter (soup or salad) and a main dish (meat or fish or vegetarian) and also a small glass (0.1) of wine for a price of 23.50 Euros pp.Complimentary bread (Baguette and Sauerteigbrot) served with seasoned butter (olives) was a nice touch.Service was friendly. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend mit Freunden in der Weinstube Schnitzler. Die Karte ist recht umfangreich, hier findet man kleine Gerichte, Klassiker und natürlich Fisch & Fleisch. Saisonale Speisen werden am Tisch auf einem extra Kärtchen angeboten.Vorab erhält man immer einen leckeren Gruà aus der Küche, anschlieÃend hatte ich eine Rinderkraftbrühe wie von GroÃmutter, schön angerichtet in deinem Bügelglas. Zur Hauptspeise wählte ich ein Cordon-Pfiff (nur saisonal), gefüllt mit Pfifferlingen und Peso - super lecker. Auch das Schiefer-Steak ist ein Traum und wird auf den Punkt gebraten serviert.Begleitend zum Essen haben wir uns für einen köstlichen 2015er WeiÃburgunger Classic entschieden. Ein Nachtisch hat nicht mehr reingepasst :)Für uns eine absolute Empfehlung.

We have been there already twice and there will definitely be further visits.Food is excellent, really. Service is nice and friendly. Location is really nice. You can eat outside or Inside.My only little minus point would be : there is no children's menu or dishes.My younger daughter eats as much as a bird, and we did not want to order an adult meal for her. So we asked for an extra plate so that she could pick from us and this was thankfully not an issue. The problem was thus solved.But this might be an idea / suggestion : to add something for children, I would value it.Thanks very much,regarding a childrens fix menü.We tried this, but we have made the experience that the kids always have a different idea about what they want.So we decide to ask what they want - and then we try to fulfill the wishes.

very special family establishment. chef is Persian and really understands middle east foods, and italian dishes were superb. will visit 3 or more times in our remaining visit of 30 days. well worth the short ride up the hill into Roscheid neighborhood.

Wir waren schon sehr oft zu Gast bei der Familie Schmitt. Die StauÃenwirtschaft ist immer gut besucht, was eine Tischreservierung empfehlenswert macht. Sitzen kann man urgemütlich in der rustikalen Weinstube oder gehobener im modernen Anbau. In der kleineren Speisekarte ist für jeden was dabei. Die Auswahl der Weine ist natürlich gröÃer. Die Empfehlung des Winzers, der persönlich hinter der Theke steht, trifft immer unseren Geschmack. Ich freue mich schon sehr auf die nächste Schlemmerschmier.

Delicious and very filling portions. Ordered the Pork Schnitzel. The twelve-inch platter was just about filled with the Schnitzel. The salad that came with it was equally delicious. Great wine options as well. Well worth the visit when on the outskirts of Trier.

I need to make clear that we did NOT eat here, but we did go in and take a look at how it was, what was on the menu and how it felt. We were looking for a relaxed easy going hearty meal amongst long term friends. As a habit we can put up with almost any environment if the food is looking above average and the vibe is right. We did not get that here. The green plastic on the tables and the menu as posted together with the general feel did not coax us in. We have encountered previous cafe restaurant bar places with the same name. They have not been part of a chain but have exuded a manageable appeal which we didn't detect in Konz.

thoroughly enjoyed a copious portion of mouth-watering and tender venison stew for a very fair price in this quietly-situated, friendly, family-owned restaurant tucked away along the banks of the mosel river: an excellent meal in good company, with a pleasant walk to follow.

we went here for the first time and were positively surprised. we did not have a reserved table, but they find us a nice table. The service was excellent and very professional.we had the Cordon bleu, which was both very good and a big portion. I can only recommend this place and we will surely go back to test more of their food.
