Although the hike was not too difficult this place was a welcomed break. A lovely view and good food. When we were the local seniors were hiking besides a school group so people watching was super activity. The only thing - one sees all these lakes but cant go swimming. Too cold.

zwischen atter-traunsee befindet sich leicht erhöht "die GROSSALM"entstanden vermutlich aus einem bauernhof und kommt ein groÃteil des essens aus eigener produktion. die gastsuben sind gemütlich und gibt es einen wintergartenmäÃigen saal mit aussicht.zum salkammergut essen gibt es auch das salkammergut bier aus der schloÃbrauerei eggenberg. eine feine weinauswahl läÃt für jeden was finden.heute gab es als tagesessen einen rostbraten mit gemischtem salat und spiralnudeln mit kartoffeln.so soll ein rostbraten sein und nicht mit kartoffelchips oder knödel.die sauce kräftig und fein gestaubt und das rindsschnitzel feim marmoriert, sodaà es auch GESCHMACK hatte. diese art von essen ist heute schon schwer zu kriegen. auch der salat ist noch mit wachtelbohnen,gurken,weiÃkraut,grünersalat und rhoner.es fehlt nur noch das berühmte gasthausgeschirr mit den drei fächern.die zufriedenen mienen der anderen gäste, lieÃen darauf schlieÃen, daà die anderen speisen ebenfalls in diesem GESCHMACKSNIVEAU sind.leider ist dieses wirtshaus von salzburg zu weit weg !!!!!

What a great hotel the Grunberg at Gmunden is! The accommodation, facilities and particularly the food are all of a very high standard.The staff are a happy team - very welcoming, very helpful and always smiling. A family atmosphere and a very professional service.Our food each evening was local in nature, well presented and very filling.If you are in the area, then make sure the Grunberg is on your itinerary.

Cosy interior, very friendly and helpful staff (dealing well with my poor german), very good food for quite acceptable price. The service was excellent, food and drinks were served within very short time. Credit cards are accepted. Julia and David taking care about the guests with full of attention, love and passion. The restaurant is very cosy, the foods are really good (my special favorite was the Eispalatschinken) and the view from the terrace is amazing, forests all around and you can see the Traunsee as well. Den miÃmutigen Wirtn kannten wir bereits aus dem Vorjahr, der einem zur BegrüÃung mal gleich ungefragt entgegen plärrt:"Wir sperren erst um 10e auf!" . Um 09:30 saÃen dann doch schon bediente Gäste vor der Hütte - viell. Freunde :-)Die Wirtin kannte ich noch nicht. Als ich um 11 ein Paar Würstel und 2 Almdudler bestellte bià sie: " Es miassts scho a bissl woaten i kau ned ois sofurt mochn" Hab sie dann darauf hingewiesen, dass ich weder sagte "sofort" noch, dass ich es eilig hatte. Sehr seltsame Leute, Essen ist mittelmäÃig, Preise hoch, Lage ist einmalig, See auch.

Capucino taste like it was made from instant coffee Two kind of strudels taste strange, and it was not similar to the same cakes which I tried in other different places (in Gmunden or Linz). Generally my opinion of this place is: fast and not cheap - this is not an austrian's quality.
