Le 5

It’s always good to return somewhere and find your positive impressions confirmed. So coming back to Le 5 after a year could have been an anti-climax but wasn’t; despite being the only customers for lunch on market day (hard to understand) we left very satisfied. Their formula works well, offering a single menu with variations - so three courses for 30 euros, the possibility of two at lunchtime for 22 euros, and a couple of specials for a 5 euro supplement. The food was again imaginative, clever, quite beautifully presented, and worthy of greater recognition from Michelin. Hard to pick out particular plates, because the tartellete of sardines was gorgeous and both the cod and the fillet of sole main courses quite outstanding. Very pretty desserts from a chef who likes moulds!Sadly, the wine list lacks a bit of variety but on the other hand it is kept cheap (nothing much above 25 euros) and the wines are good examples of their varieties. An excellent Oc Viognier tasted very fine and was worth more than we paid. This place really is worth the visit if you’re in this area - you won’t eat as well for so little very often.

We got a friendly welcome. The interior of the restaurant is modern and stylish. The service was friendly and everything was clearly thought about and food served to a plan. The amuse Bouche of crab and saffron mousse was lovely. There are two set menus and an a la carte menu. The chef takes care to come and explain his dishes to you. The poulet with pruneaux I had as a starter was delicious, the veal ribs I had as a main just did not work....far too much fat and the meat was not tender enough to cut it from the bone and separate it from the fat easily. Pannacotta for dessert was largely flavourless with too much gelatine in it. My friends selection of desserts was lovely. So clearly run by someone who cares about food, service and presentation, but some of the dishes on the menu need work to make them memorable. Thanks for your comment !I change my veal for another meat ! sorry for that

If pizzas were not so calorific I would eat here every week - they are just the best - plenty of tasty toppings on a super perfectly cooked base. Their other dishes are really good too, I've tried them all. The desserts are to die for, especially the profiteroles and it is always served with a smile. The young couple who own this restaurant go out of their way to ensure the clients have a good experience as well as good food. It is a good job I don't live in Lezardrieux all year round - I'd be the size of an elephantMerci de votre visite. Nous espérons vous revoir chez nous. Merci d avoir pris le temps de faire ce retour. Merci pour vos mots. A bientôt.

Not a usual restaurant with great concept that makes you feel like home!! All the food are homemade and menu is different everyday. They bring you the good as how it would be served as if you were at home! So warm and cozy! If you want to have a romantic date you can also make a reservation to have a little table for two in the caravan. Definitely worth a visit!

Called in for a swift half. Belgian beer, fish and chips, sat outside early evening. Service quick and friendly. Little black dog joined us such a sweetie, likes fish! This pub/bistro is popular with locals and tourists alike. Entertainment is always great and free. A must visit if you're in the area especially in summer, check the website for details of entertainment and opening times. The food we had was tasty and cheap at €8 beer about €3 33cl. Will return with the family next month. Been coming here for years! Another change of management, nobody stays too long no idea why it's a good position and draws the punters!

Lovely lunch with a couple of French friends on a Thursday lunch time. We took the precaution of booking and thus got a lovely table in the window overlooking the river. Every one except me chose the menu of the day.....another big mistake of mineTwo have the starter of Indian flavoured medley of rice with a salad garnish...and all three had a delicious main meal of salmon, with a lovely crispy skin, and vegetable, and all again chose a delicious chocolate pudding. I messed up once again. I chose what I thought would be gravlax with blinis and creme fraiche. It arrived, looked delicious, little roses of smoked gravlax, swimming in a sea of creme fraiche and a large helping of soft blue cheese on the side of the plate, plus three or four very small blinis.. it needed a lot of bread to soak up the creme fraiche, and truly it was more like a soup, albeit tasting very nice....but difficult to eat with a fork, and in truth too rich for my taste....so I ordered some cheese to follow. This was very very generous....three large pieces of cheese, plus a lovely salad garnish...no complaints what so ever....in fact, large enough for our friends to take two large pieces of cheese which I really could not eat home with them. At all times the lovely young waitress kept her cool, served us with a smile, and can only be congratulated..so thank you to her.

We were hungry and as most restaurants were closed we came across this place that is predominately a well run transport stop for hungry truckers. Ok so we went in not knowing what to expect. Shown to a table by a very pleasant member of staff, tables were a bit basic. Amazing starter buffet on a help yourself basis. Fish, prawns, meat, crudities etc.Choice of two main courses, steak or pork on the day we went. Pork melted in your mouth and served with vegetables. Many choices for desert including cheese plus coffee. Bread and butter, bottle of wine and water on the table all included for 12e. Parking directly outside. Open on a Sunday. Also caters for functions for up to 200 people. Highly recommended and well worth a visit.

The service here was great and relaxed. The tuna mi cuit with oriental flavours was fantastic. Great choice of fish for main course even catering without advance warning for my shellfish allergy. Then the strawberry dessert which was pretty as a picture was SO tasty Fantastic cooking. Book before it becomes too popular
