We just called in off the street for lunch. Menu of the day 12 euros 13 with wine. Superb just what one should expect when needing lunch in France. Look out for lorries parked outside always a good sign. The restaurant is brightly furnished spotless as were the toilets. The staff were brilliant and food was excellent unlike the dinner we had in a four times more expensive restaurant that night. Highly recommend Le Chaplin.

Pleasant ambiance and friendly staff. There were 3 of us at lunchtime. We all enjoyed our entrees and the presentation was superb. Sadly the main course left a bit to be desired, overcooked and not of great quality. That said, the overall experience was good and we will certainly be making another visit.Dear Sir, thank you for your opinion on Tripadvisor. During your next visit, do not hesitate to tell usât the time, we will correct the cooking of your dish. Best regards. The Manager.

We have eaten here a few times now and have not been disappointed by the food or the welcome. The chef/ owner has created a small but delicious menu and concentrates on producing the best food that he can. His chicken speciality is highly recommended!Because he prefers to have only a few bookings he is able to tell you about his dishes and his many years of running a large restaurant and also about the vast art collection on the walls.Probably not the cheapest restaurant in the area but worth every penny/ cent and I hope to go there again next week!

This charming restaurant/ cafe is about as French and as friendly as you are likely to find. Full of local characters, a good choice of lunchtime menu at reasonable prices, all with very friendly service. 5 star dining it is not, but for local charm and good food this is a must visit!

One of the few places to have a vegetarian dish advertised on the menu although as a special and not part of the general meals.I was, however, very unhappy that the veggie dish came with black rice or cous cous, i can't remember which. It is black because squid ink is used. In order to harvest squid in the squid must be killed. Therefore. It vegetation, by my standards. On speaking to the staff about this we were told it was similar to dairy products.. No, you don't kill the cow to get the milk.

We found this restaurant while looking for a different one and decided to give it a try. It is quite small with a few tables inside and a few more in a little square across the road. Le Ricordeau

We have been to the Ricordeau a few times over the last few years and have generally found the food to be varied and of decent quality. The Ricordeau serves good value, unpretentious, well cooked french cuisine, however it isn't fine dining, but it also happens to be rated the best restaurant in the local area, and it is.We had lunch here recently with friends and we all enjoyed four course meals with a good bottle of wine for less than 25 euros a head. I have paid more and eaten far worse at a number of other restaurants in a anumber of places. Starters of courgette terrine with smoked salmon and goats cheese, mains of fish, guinea fowl and pork (although the fish supposedly had a curry sauce, I couldn't really taste it, but hey this is France), followed by a selection of three different cheese dishes and then a wide choice of desserts, all perfectly acceptable. Worth dropping by if you are in the area.
