All the times I have visited Margaret River and this was my first time to Woodlands Wines. I have been missing out! Firstly the staff are amazing, really friendly, knowable & helpful. The cellar door is lovely and comfortable, very relaxing and the wines are great and reasonably priced. There is a snack menu with the most amazing cheese boards that are not to be missed. All in all, one of my favourite experiences this trip and I can't wait to return.

Willespie

The Willespie vineyard began it's journey in 1976, when Kevin and Marian Squance and their four children planted 3.9 hectares of verdelho, semillon, riesling and cabernet sauvignon fruit. Forty years and many accolades later, the vineyard has gracefully grown in size along with the four children who have now taken over the reins to this unique piece of land in the Margaret River wine region. Our Wilyabrup property spans over 40 hectares and is a stunning backdrop for a wine tasting at cellar door, dream wedding or special event. Willespie is a boutique, family owned and operated vineyard with a long held passion for creating excellent wines.

Delicious wine & a great range from sparkling to whites, Rose & Reds! Low key winery with friendly staff & chilled atmosphere. Probably the best wine I’ve tried in the Margaret River region with reasonable prices.

Last weekend we toured a number of wineries in the Margaret River area of Western Australia, always a treat and something to work into any WA vacation! My favourite tasting was at the Fraser Gallop Estate winery - the wines were very good and Peter, the sommelier, made it a truly delightful experience. He is knowledgeable, personable, engaging, and just a lovely person to spend time with while sipping excellent wines. Peter often set us up with two wines to taste side by side - perhaps oaked/unoaked, or 2013/2018 vintages of the same wines - which made for a more interesting experience. If you go, and I highly recommend that you do, be aware that there can be an up charge ($5) for some of the more expensive vintages. Have a look at the fancy new Italian machine that controls the temperature of the wines you are tasting while serving out a calibrated amount for you to sip.

Popped in as we noticed it had been rated the 2020 value winery of the year by James Halliday. We were served by Jeff (?) who was really warm and friendly and walked us through the tasting flight. We bought three bottles and soaked up our tasting with a plentiful cheese board. Well worth a visit as it’s situated right amongst the vines

Very quiet winery that is good for families with kids. Beautiful food and love the wine tasting set up that is private without the gossip. Just sit with your sheet, pick your wine and taste away. The kids have a huge grass area with crochet, bocce or just run around that is pleasantly away from the main dining area or if small there is another closer area where they can play. Large tress provide shade. Food, wine and service all amazing.

Visited on our organised Wine Tour and this was one of the best wineries visited. The Cellar Door host was the owner, a lovely lady who was very old school and very proud of her products. Bought a very nice Late Harvest Cabernet as a pudding wine - very unusual to find such a nice, subtle sweet red.
