We came to Cinque Terre with the Walkabouts Tour and part of that tour is the hike from Vernazza to Corniglia on Trail 2C. The trail can be strenuous for some as the first part is uphill. But if you have the time, it is worth it. The views are spectacular! The main difficult part is to keep yourself from constantly stopping to take pictures! Be sure to bring enough water, sunglasses a hat and good shoes. Several of us finished this hike in approx. an hour. The tour gave us two hours to finish the hike.

Trail 531 Riomaggiore to Manarola

Cinque Terre's 5 Villages are very beautiful. Drive to these places are awesome. Some one recommended to go when we planning the trip to Italy. From Venice we went to Florence by train. From there we took a car to Pisa and Cinque Terre. 5 Village towns are beautiful. I wish we took a train and stayed in one of the village. Extreme caution needed as the roads are too narrow. Even the rental cars have some dent or other. So Watch and train may be a better option If you have time, spend atleast couple of days in Cinque Terre. Overall Italy was a nice trip with Architecture and history tours at Venice, Florence, Rome, Pompei etc. and Cinque Terre and Almafi coast with good Mediterranean beach experience

After walking through the tunnel from the train station, turn towards the sea to reach the area overlooking the water with the iconic view of the colorful homes up the hill over the cliffs. It is as beautiful and as breathtaking as the pictures show!

This is a lovely, simple Church up the hill from the main harbour. Peaceful and relaxing. It's a steep walk but worth it and it's worth walking further up for a good view.

The marina in Riomaggiore is definitely worth visiting in order to take the iconic picture of the sea cliffs and the red, pink, yellow and white houses built up the hill. This area is small with quite a few tourists. To get here, you walk through a tunnel with some very pretty mosaics.
