Rethymnon is one of the most well-preserved Venetian old towns on the island of Crete. Its 16th-century buildings are stunning examples of ancient architecture, and the monolithic Fortezza reflects both European and Moorish influences. Explore the magical waterfalls, rock formations, and ‘"cave church" of Saint Anthony Gorge before taking a pleasant evening stroll along the colorful Venetian Harbor. Relax in a taverna over a plate of Cretan meze, like fresh feta drizzled with local olive oil.

Great farm. The owner was super nice and gave our group an interesting tour on historical and modern olive oil production. We had a small oil tasting. The product is of exceptional quality and very reasonably priced. A must stop when traveling the area.

At Cretan Lyra Workshop - Museum Stagakis, visitor can take a tour at Cretan Lyra museum by owner Manolis Stagakis. Can listen to traditional Cretan music from local players and try our musical instruments. Also can view the construction of a new Lyra.
When you are in Rethymno, Crete, do not miss this wonderful trove of musical treasures and knowledge. The exhibition of musical instruments, all beautifully hand-made is a great introduction to Cretan music. The generous hospitality included professional explanations and a demonstration. We highly recommend a visit.

A lovely surprise to find this shop in sleepy Maroulas as it’s a tiny village. When you enter the building you are met with beautiful aromas. Mariannas very helpful and knowledgable about the produce she sells. Well worth a visit.

Our Elements. Sterling Silver is like air. You can see it change color, shape, feeling. Combined with Gold is a unique balance. Bronze is fire. Its warm, its passioned. Pearls are water, pearls have the shape of life and life comes out of water. Gems is Earth. Brown soil hides million of colors searching for light. We like to think different, six different Designers in one shop.
The artist/owner talked very passionately about her art and handmade jewellery. It was absolutely no problem for her to make 2 small bracelets while we were waiting. When travel is again possible we will certainly return to her shop to buy something new.
