Although it is not the main church of Luik, this one is at least as pretty, but probably prettier than the St paul. Especially the roof is amazing. A very good place to enjoy piece and quietness.

One of the places I liked the most to photograph in Liege. The golden details look beautiful when it is sunny and then there is a contrast with the green dome of the church on the other side, this church looks like the St Sava Temple in Belgrade, really interesting. It is pretty close to the train station so check it out.

This was the cherry on top of the cake! I was already so delighted with the whole city. But when on a lovely warm afternoon I decided to go to the Bovarie and was literally flabbergasted! The green areas along the river are just so enchanting. The Museum building is magnificent so is the cafe of the museum. The views are incredible. What an unforgettable afternoon.

Cathedral de Liege (Liege Cathedral)

It's currently covered in scaffolding, but don't let that put you off. Go inside and you'll see this is a magnificent cathedral: a fantastic, intricately carved roof and wonderful stained glass windows. Look out for the white marble statue of Lucifer, hiding behind the pulpit! (He's got claws, budding horns, scaly batlike wings and a look of furtive shame on his face!)

This ultramodern train station definitely worths a visit, even if you won't come to Liége by train. It's an architectural masterpiece authored by Santiago Calatrava that also creates the desire of visiting his hometown, Valencia, another medieval town like Liége, perhaps even prettier.
