absolutley beautiful natural wonder, full of amazing stinky local wildlife. the sea was so rough it was a spectacular site. if driving back in the dark or near dusk be aware of the abundance of nocturnal life that will be darting about the road. best to go in the day time unless you want a very slow and sometimes stressful drive home avoiding all the little critters.

It is a fact of life nowadays that tourist dollars means lots of tourists ! Just try to catch an attraction without the coach party !! Can;t blame then for being all over this site as they are pretty special and after 500 million years of sculpting by mother nature this is a real special view. The different weathering of the Rocks has left some iconic pieces. Really glad we got to see the RR's and loved it !

Serene showcase of local and Island inspired artworks, lovingly curated in a renovated heritage building in the heart of the Island's main township, Kingscote. Views to panoramic Nepean Bay compliment award winning artworks, working jewellery studio and quirky Wabi-Sabi arts courtyard. Resident Fred Peters creates custom jewellery while you visit. Other featured artists featured include Neil Sheppard (Shep), ShepJanet Ayliffe, Jenny Clapson, Fred Peters, Nicholas Burness Pike, Dave Clark and many, many more.
We have regularly visited Kangaroo Island over the past 8 years and each time we call in at Fine Art Kangaroo Island. Fred, the owner, always gives a warm welcome and has a great variety of jewellery, sculptures and paintings, virtually all of which are produced on KI. If you visit Kingscote then I’d recommend calling in to view the latest pieces and have a chat with Fred.

Gin & non-gin drinkers of the group were all equally happy here. A lovely setting in the garden, very good (and world-class award winning) gin flights, cocktails, liquor tastings available. A small selection of good food available. We were given ample information about the tastings as well.

On a drive out to Cape Willoughtby Lighthouse Saturday, we stopped in for lunch at Dudley Wines Cellar Door on the way back(only about 10 mins drive out of Penneshaw, and, Wow, Wow, Wow , walking out to sit on a beautiful big deck to indulge of this Wow factor view. We ordered two tasting paddles of their wines, and a tasting plate of fresh and delicious local produce. Very nice wines, especially the premium reds (on the $15 paddle) and the food complemented perfectly. Great friendly and knowledgeable service as well. Well worth a hop into on Kangaroo Island. A lovely cellar door with a choice of wine tasting options and $10 for 6 great wines was very good value although we got the $30, 9 wine tasting for free as we joined their wine club and so also got our wines shipped home at no charge. Lots of choice of wines and they were very friendly and knowledgeable

Yes, definitely worth walking up to soak in the view & burn off some calories ???? Was interesting reading all the information at the top. We saw some fascinating birds too! ???? Easy parking at the bottom. From there we went to Pennington Beach which is a stone throw away.
