Guardamar Moncayo Beach

This is a proper Mediterranean beach, beautiful warm blue sea and miles of sand. Gets busy but there’s plenty of room for all, even with the current social distancing requirements. There’s plenty of free parking with a small walk to the beach unless you’re lucky or early and get a prime spot. There’s also a few bars spread along the beach.

We visited Guardamar on market day, Wednesday,at the end of February. We grabbed a spot of lunch before having a walk along the prom/beach,then we're walking back to the car when my wife said she wanted to walk through the gardens she could see across the road. So imagine our surprise when we go in and find ducks, geese, parrots, terrapins plus a lovely play area for the kids and lots of shade for the warmer months (although it was 23 degrees in February). Furthermore, whilst the park has a bar/cafe which was great to see open, the whole park is spotlessly clean and so quiet too. We were impressed with parque of the nations in torrevieja but this is on another level! well done Guardamar!

My family and I love really long walks along this beach early in the morning, then relaxing on it during the day. It's beautiful soft sand and it gets cleaned early each morning, so it's an absolute pleasure to spend time on.

Mercadillo de Campo de Guardamar

Best market in the area! Lots of space to walk around and lots of good place to eat with plenty of sitting areas. We got good authentic food and the fresh produce selection is better than the other markets nearby. There will be a line to get in by car, make sure to arrive from the side where you turn a right down to the market, otherwise you will be hanging in the line until someone lets you in.

Paseo Maritimo de Guardamar

It’s always nice to drop down onto this lovely beach. Ok it’s commercial, but in a nice way. Very Spanish (what we like) with not too many Brits! I am one myself , however it’s nice to get that authentic feel when you’re in another country. Always kept impeccable clean ( puts some British beaches to shame) and well represented by lifeguards. Well worth a visit to dip your toe in the water!
