Franklin's on the Waterfront

Reviewed By 04042Traveler - Hollis Center, United States

My wife and I have been to St. Croix and always stop in for a visit. The shop at one time and under different management had an English Bulldog named Franklin. Franklin was a mascot in the store and would greet customers and just lounge around. We were sad to hear that Franklin is no longer with us but he is missed by many who stop by Franklin's on the Waterfront. The shop has many unique items, some expensive, some inexpensive, basically something for everyone. It's a great shop close to the cruise port and worth a visit. I would highly recommend.

Great Beach! Lots of fun watersports. The restaurant has good food and great frozen drinks. We had nice time here and visited twice while we were on the island. We would definitely recommend!

Estate Mount Washington Plantation

The road in is quite long and in poor shape dirt road with lots of potholes. But if you are comfortable with that it is worth the drive in. An off the beaten path destination no cost of admission and really worth seeing.

Rainbow Beach

Reviewed By ontheroadagain65 - Garden City, United States

The day we went to Rainbow beach, it was not at all crowded. We were able to find some sea glass. Which was my reason for going there. I will say, that on cruise ship day, the place was packed, so I'd avoid going there on a day a ship is in port.

I loved just walking from ship. Beach sand nice, little rocky in water. Loved looking for shells and sea glass. Perfectly safe while we were there. Sidewalk a little beat up from hurricane but easy walk around.

A very beautiful memorial park, along the water near the pier. It's a great place to catch the sunset. We also saw a rainbow one morning, while eating breakfast.

Rust Op Twist Sugar Mill

Reviewed By 232larap

I am already booking a trip back to Rust Op Twist this spring. The property is filled with history, the sound of the surf, the magical water, brain coral littering the beach... the sugar mill and ruins have the same paths walked by those who worked there hundreds of years earlier. The cottage is a perfect island home, quiet, bright, and a great place to escape to. We did yoga up at the sugar mill every morning - jt was incredible. The hosts are an amazing family who are eager to share the beautiful history of the property with you. I highly recommend this property.
