Josephine's Gallery is a 'MUST SEE' whilst in Coober Pedy. Wander through the impressive ABORIGINAL ART GALLERY, play a DIDGERIDOO, choose a beautiful OPAL from our extensive range or KISS A KANGAROO. Our passion is raising orphaned kangaroos and we offer you the opportunity to see these amazing creatures up close and maybe even hold a baby. Feeding times daily at 12 noon and 5:30pm. Local art, baby kangaroos and the most lovely owners. This place deserves a visit, if only to chat to the owners and hear all they do for the injured wildlife around here. Great work.

Catacomb Church

An Underground church named after the Catacombs in Rome. A place of serenity where week by week we tell others the great news that Jesus still forgives sin for those who seek him.

Kanku - Breakaways Conservation Park

The Breakaways and driving the circuit are a definite must while in Coober Pedy. Magnificent formations and geological delights, coupled with the indigenous stories and the history of the Dingo fence make this a special excursion. Great at any time, but especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset - but take the Aeroguard!

Dog Fence

Reviewed By iggydi2018 - Brisbane, Australia

We travelled through Coober Pedy a few years ago (so I didn't go in September 2019) and went to see this fence. We have seen the fence from the start/finish in Queensland and many places in-between. My goal is to see the end/start in South Australia. I have been fascinated by the story of the Dog/Dingo fence for many years. Driving out to the dog fence in Coober Pedy is an amazing drive with the breakaways and the moonscape looking scenery along the way. If you are interested in the Dog/Dingo fence this is a must see
