Wholesale production of carob, chocolate, honeycomb and brittle confectionery products. Public viewing of production is free so are the tastings. A full retail shop to buy at factory prices & mail order is available. Tea/coffee is available and a colouring-in table for the little ones. Really glad to have visited. The facility, history and learning experience was just fantastic. I had no idea about Carobs or their use a chocolate alternative. The products they make are very tasty. It’s great to see a true family business like this still thriving. The family owners and operators are really lovely and didn’t hesitate to tell me various interesting stories. 10/10

Forest Sky Pier

The Forest Sky Pier is a spectacular architectural feature providing the panoramic views over the Coffs Coast and Hinterland. Cantilevered off the edge of Sealy Lookout in Orara East State Forest, the Forest Sky Pier projects 22 metres out over rainforest, 15 metres above the forest canopy. The Forest Sky Pier is a 5-10 minute drive off the Pacific Highway through banana plantations and forest, taking in amazing views as you travel up the hill side. It's a must-see destination for the North Coast.

Coffs Harbour Muttonbird Island

Reviewed By kellylK7127UE - Ocean Shores, Australia

I last visited Muttonbird Island about 25 years ago, and I'm very pleased to say that I don't believe it's changed much in that time. It was a relatively easy, very pleasant walk from the marina to the island and up a paved path to the top of the island where the views are stunning. Sunset is definitely the time to visit! Whale watching is also a given at the right time of year.

The surf beach is very flat and so the water is easily accessible. Just around the corner the river enters the sea and so there is a variety of swimming options. Great for young families too.

North Coast Regional Botanic Garden

Reviewed By 410philo - Coffs Harbour, Australia

A beautiful botanic garden which incorporates several natural ecosystems and forest and specifically planted areas containing many rare Australian and worldwide species. The planted Australian rainforest is a highlight and is readily accessible with raised boardwalks. We saw a lot of different birds which have made their homes here due to the variety of flowering and fruiting trees. There are also a lot of water birds in the lake and in the bordering Coffs Creek. This is a very well planned garden which is largely run by volunteers.
