I really recommend this tour. Done in English the guide was knowledgeable, informative and helped make the tour a success. The story of “Jerez” is so interesting, and complex. So much history in this small family owned bodega

Really enjoyed the your around the vinyards and then the winery...Roberto was a fountain of knowledge and made my 10yr olds day when he gave him a small bunch of grapes to eat...then when it came to the wine tasting, he took his time to explain the colour of the wines and the tastes asking us all what we thought of each one..Ready good tour ending in us purchasing 12 bottles between the 5 of us.... thanks you deserve 5 stars..hope the wedding went well....

Vina & Bodega Remsamen

The bodega is situated on a hill at an altitude of 350m and 15 km from the Mediterranean Sea. In 2008 we started on 1 hectare a small vineyard with 3 types of grapes, Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. We don't use chemical pesticides or artificial fertilizers and don't add yeast or sulphite. We do not filter the wine crystal clear in order to maintain their optimal flavour and colour. From 2018 we only grow Chardonnay. We are not a commercial vineyard, but show and explain how white and red wine is made. At the wine tasting, we taste the chardonnay and 2 red wines that we have produced in recent years. Visits by appointment for a tour and a tasting.

My wife and I have visited many wineries with tours and tasting all over the place, but the visit at the small family owned Remsamen Bodega surpassed our earlier experiences. The hosts, Marjelijn and Rene', gave us a both personal and knowledgeable presentation and tour about the history of the winery, their own experiences and, of course, the secrets of wine making. So much the better that their wines were both good and affordable and were savoured together with some cheese, salami and quiche. We can warmly recommend a visit at Remsamen Bodega????

We booked this tour online having seen some fantastic reviews and were also advised not to go on the tours of the big Bodegas (that's up to you but a little research will tell you why !!) .. Being out of season in February was great as we were the only people on the tour which was brilliantly taken by Valentina who was really really great, friendly and very informative .. can't recommend her highly enough !! And at the end we had 6 different sherries to try along with some fab tapas !! What was supposed to be an hour's tour turned into an hour and half as we were not pressured at all to finish our tasting as we chatted to Valentina about the history of the Bodega, Jerez .. the City and life in general in the area .. thoroughly recommended !!! Ooh and bought a bottle of Fino for us and went back the next day to the shop they have to buy another bottle for friends .. who are connoisseurs and they loved the Fino !! Enough said !!

What a fantastic place to visit. We booked the wine tour and meal and I have to say it was an excellent afternoon. Started with a tour of their vineyards and bodega and Miguel answered our many questions Then we were seated in a beautiful courtyard where Isabel served us our meals. The food was fantastic. Meats, cheese, breads, omelette, paella and dessert. And of course accompanied by some of the nicest wine I have ever tasted. So nice we bought 4 bottles to take home. Isabel and Miguel made us very welcome and fussed over the children Well worth the visit and we will definitely return

We visited with 2 children (3 and 7) and were hosted for the visit by Victor. Having booked the tour by email at 1730 the night before the visit, we were pleasantly surprised that there was only us and another group of 2. The visit cost 12€ (Free for kids) and included a walk through the bodegas with an excellent description of how the different types of sherries are made and how they all differ in taste. It also included tasting 5 different sherries, 2 straight from the cask, which was a real novelty. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sanlúcar. Thank you to Victor for being such a great host.

Beautiful sherry winery, with plenty tasting options, with or without food. Bodegas Lustau is considered a world-class benchmark for top-quality wines. Lustau’s philosophy has remained unchanged since its inception in 1896: to provide consumers with the widest and most select range of Sherry specialties. In 2016, Bodegas Lustau was named Best Sherry Producer by the International Wine and Spirit Competition and ranked number 7 in the WAWWJ “Top 100 wineries in the world” annual ranking.

I had the most delightful 5 sherry and 1 vermouth tasting tour of this spectacular Bodega. Carmen, our guide, was able to answer all our varied questions in excellent English. I learned, and have remembered so much and now appreciate Sherry wine so much more. The Palo Cortado was spectacular! Thank you Carmen and hope you all keep well.

Mercado Central de Atarazanas

Reviewed By DCHPORTVENDRES - Clogheen, Ireland

When choosing city breaks and holidays abroad travellers are increasingly seeking real life experiences to add some depth and added value to their trips. Expensive dining out is certainly not the only way to experience the cuisine of a region. From cookery courses and food markets to vineyard visits and farm tours, a combination of tasting, meeting and hearing the stories from locals connects the new age traveller to the history, customs and culinary differences of a new destination. Food markets are the heart and soul of Spanish gastronomy and they are the ideal place to get an authentic taste of the most delectable and sought after culinary products of the surrounding area. Mercado Atarazanas is the undisputed epicentre of a truly amazing array of fresh produce in central Malaga. The impressive century old wrought iron and glass building is an old school market, great for tasting a bit of Manchego cheese, a glass of local Malaga wine, a few oysters, a plate of Ibérico ham and also perfecto for sampling a wide range of traditional or contemporary Spanish tapas. Visiting a food market has long been the most authentic way to experience any destination, after all, what better way to get the pulse of a city than to see its proud vendors in full flow dealing with their regular customers. Open Monday to Saturday from 0800 to 1500 hrs. Remember that the market is not a museum. Vendors are locals earning a living for their families.
