We stopped here for lunch in Mid - April when pretty much every other place was closed due to low season. We were lucky to be the only group dining, so had full attention of the waitress who was very chatty with us. No English menu but waitress was very helpful in explaining the different dishes (in good English) and making recommationsI had mixed meat platter with very nice salid, which tasted good. All dishes good value for money. The restaurant also has very good views over the lake so I imagine it will be very popular during peak season.

Walked here from dad franzl, took about 10 minutes. Really efficient and friendly service from lady, plenty of veggie options, and food was delicious. We had the pumpkin gnocchi and the olio spaghetti. Wine was very good and beer good too. Nice big filling meal and drinks for under â¬30. Also lovely decor, very charming and cosy. Nice big table, comfy seats, interesting lights!

We only called in here on a rainy day because we had been told they served the best Applestrudle in town. What we had been told was completely correct, a delight stuffed full of tasty apple, spices and raisins, in light flaky pastry, served with a generous portion of cream. Delicious indulgence!

I saw the review of this hotel and wanted to try it. Unfortunately i wasnt so hungry to order a main dish but i had a caprese salad that was super tasty. Nice restaurant with friendly waiters and cozy ambiance

We had the most wonderful brunch here! The omelets were delectable as was their selection of freshly baked breads. The fruit, vegetables, and juices were very fresh. And the service was amazing! And...the views of Lake Wolfgang...well...itâs beautiful here. Highly recommended!!!!

We started to go to the White Horse Inn restaurant next door, but saw that there were some tables available here by the water under the trees, so we stopped in and we were so glad we did. Our waiter was very friendly. The view was gorgeous and our lunches were excellent. I got the boiled beef, although I was hesitant because of the name. Boiled beef doesn't sound very appetizing, but I ordered it anyway and I'm glad I did. It was a lot like pot roast that I'm used to. It was very tender. The fried potatoes were so flavorful. I ordered a side salad in case I didn't like my meal, but my meal was so good I didn't really need the salad. My friend had the fried chicken which she said was excellent.I hope to return to Austria someday, and if I do, I may just stay at this hotel. The reviews appear to be very good. I know the restaurant is.Thank you so much for your very kind feedback. this place is a gem for nature lovers. it is located close to strobl and off the road towards the postalm. however, the entrance to its own private road is a little hard to find. once travelling up the twisty road, you come to a beautiful valley. the restaurant has lots going on outside and kids will love it. apart from some play furniture (inside and outside) there are goats, rabbits, deer, sheep, fish, pigs etc to view outside and the rabbits can e petted. of course there are great walks along the valley and up the sparberg for a fabulous view over the wolfgangsee.as regards the restaurant, the food is great and the ambience internally is unique with a water wheel and a stream inside the dining area.a great place to visit.

We visited here on the recommendations of trip advisor and were not disappointed. The restaurant is a typical rustic Austrian chalet with quirky bar stools and a nice atmosphere. We arrived at lunch time and had a drink before we ordered our food. The goulash was lovely with lashings of gravy and an enormous bread dumpling to soak it all up!! We ordered the home made raspberry cake to share which was delicious! The staff were very attentive and efficient. Definitely recommend if you are in the area!!

We have been coming to Strobl for 15 years and the kirchenwirt is the best. The food is always great, fantastic service with a smile and nothing is ever too much trouble for Maria and her team! Book a table at busy times. Can't recommend enough!

Dinner here with family. Special menu- American month in addition to main menu. Homemade burgers, ribs etc but also huge selection of other food. Well presented, beautifully cooked and unusual. I had a dessert of blueberry muffin, chocolate mousse, ice cream, crumble and raspberry coulis- highly recommended and photo supplied. Will definitely be back, a new favourite place.
