This restaurant is in an unlikely location near the docks of Port Arianne for the quality of food and presentation. Founded by a talented pastry chef, the food was beautifully chosen and prepared right before us. We had the "Menu Sensation", a prix fixe of delightful small tastes that were delivered as successive waves of flavor and proved quite satisfying. Book early as they can fill up quickly. We highly recommend it.

Beautiful location, really nice food but disappointing lack of warmth from the staff. They were polite and efficient but no real feeling of being a welcomed customer, which is a shame as the food is fantastic, decor nice and the view is beautiful.

Finally we had a good tasting honest meal in the area. This place stands out in the taste and quality of the food and nice presentation to boot. We were nine and all of were happy. Efficient service, although limited English, none the less we understood each other. Good raw plate excellent swordfish and really nice scallops with chrorizo. You feel feel inside the restaurant and you will feel good afterwards.Good value too.Glad we went

This is a nice decent restaurant when staying at the hotel just beside. I had dinner several times these past 2 weeks. Pizzas are nice but a bit heavy in the evening, salad was very fresh and the carpaccio was delightful. The service was very attentive and kind. I would definitely recommend it and will probably go back if I have to stay in the area again. We were 7 for a birthday party lunch sitting on the terrace viewing the yacht harbour. The waiter was efficient and kept track of the many varied orders. 3 Langoustine starters were served and were acceptable. Several Lobster Armoricain/Tagliatelle were ordered (supposedly excellent). I had a Tartar of duck that had absolutely no duck taste what-so-ever...only tomato and avocado...doubted any duck had come near it. My Turbot dish was not really warm, served with peas, lima beans and bacon...OK, but was nothing to write home about.The dessert was sold as a Strawberry Tart, but had a hard, cracker base with some flavoured cream with cut strawberries stuck in and a ball of ice cream...not a very special desert creation.The white wine was a Domaine Reine Juliette 'Terres Rouges' Picpoul de Pinet 2013. It was possibly the best thing about this meal, at only Euro 19.

The waitress was the only one in the whole place and serving around 15 tables. It took over 20 mins to get a menu! The food is very good but don't go if you are in a rush..

Sunday lunch with friends. Place looked good so we went in. All four of us chose a set menu and it all started so well with a lovely seafood starter. The main however was a real disappointment. Caubillard, over cooked and under seasoned, served on some cold, watery French beans, some bulots and a slice of baked potato. In their favor though was the concern they showed for our dissatisfaction. They offered us some extra wine 'on the house' and were most apologetic.Puts were fine. House wine agreeable. Would go back though just to see if we were unlucky on the day!

I've been to this improbable (due to its location) restaurant several times, but usually for lunch. The terrasse is lovely and the food and service have always been good, at a reasonable price. Last night my husband and I sat outside for dinner and each had the 29⬠three-course menu. We were very happy with our starters, a tomato tartare with basil and a chèvre sorbet for me and gorgeous mussels in a persillade for monsieur. We both ordered the seiches à la plancha for the main course, and when we asked how they were served (in large, tender steaks), they were more than happy to have the chef slice them into strips as we prefer. The seiches and the side dishes were very good. The only disappointment for me was the profiterolles for dessert (the choux pastry was not fresh), but my date like the lemon mousse over crumble that he'd ordered. The waiter had selected a dry white wine for us, which was perfect (forgot the name, sorry).

Le Mazerand is one of the best restaurant near Montpellier... The service is wonderful, the food is fantastic,and during the summer time you can have some meals on the outside patio.Prices are above than average but worth the quality of the food and service.
