HORRIBLE SERVICE. The waiter did not bring us water after I asked repeatedly, argued with us about bringing us bread (that you have to pay for), since our dish was going to come with tortillas (we were starved for a snack before the entree arrived), and then he hustled us out of the restaurant so he could seat someone else at our table. The whole time he was rude to us- he was a bigger guy, stay away from him! Other than that, the food was pretty good - not the best Mexican food I've ever had, but good for Pamplona! The atmosphere is sociable and lively and the restaurant is nicely decorated as well.

Enekorri Restaurant

Our last day in Pamplona and to be honest we'd had a few misses with restaurants. We desperately wanted to end this city on the high culinary note it deserves. Enekorri tempted me from their website and walking by it justified my expectations, it's a knockout visually. So to lunch.....faultless. Beautifully executed service from entry to exit, gorgeous decor, ambient lighting, an exemplary wine list and the food was divine. For me langoustine starter with octopus to follow. Everything was seasoned and cooked to sublime perfection, the plating was beautiful and the portion sizes so stunningly judged my lunch became a magical experience. My partner's entree of soup with onion and egg was incredible, like a thick yet clear consume with beautiful runny egg and caramalised onion. I'm not sure how they did this but I'd love to know. His main of venison was as perfect as a piece of deer can get. Cooked rare, rested on point and a gorgeous sauce. We came out very very very happy customers and returned for dinner that night it was that good. I mean THAT good. Our evening meal was once again perfection personified and this time with desserts which were as well executed as the other courses with textures, flavours and balance. For some reason my ordered glass of cava to accompany my dessert was not delivered, the service staff quickly rectified this by giving me a glass of Moet (on the house I might add) and did not charge for my partner's dessert wine either to compensate this ever so slight misstep. I think this sums up how the place is run, it's outstanding. This is food, service, atmosphere of the highest level and the prices are ... well lets say I'm speechless. How Enekorri manages to execute to such incredibly high standards at this price point is beyond me. We'd return to Pamplona to go to this restaurant alone. A memorable experience, one to carry with us always. Thank you Enekorri.

Within sight of the iconic Pamplona bullring there used to be a restaurant, Hartza, which for many years was a classic for Pamplona residents. It closed and several years latter has a new tenant with a new style of cuisine and some progressive ideas. They have fixed menus and a La Carte choices. Indeed, the a La Carte contains items (bigger portions) within the fixed menu. The latter is a trend of many upscale restaurants with mixed success. Upon the recommendation of the waiter, we chose a fixed menu as a way of tasting several dishes with the aim to zero on the best on a a future visit. Indeed, wise idea because not all items are worth repeating , particularly the mussel where the add ins overwhelm the delicate mussel. On the other hand, the sardine and the eel surpass expectations. The cochinita pibil meat was up to the good Mexican standards of its origin, but its corn rapping hard as steel undeserving. Other items were OK but over all there was an excess of flavors and tendencies that overwhelmed the experience and a presumably light meal ended up producing a heavy feeling overpowering the senses. The wine selection is good and the prices reasonable. Yet, the service tends to be too familiar with the customer, an experience shared with the better known Europe. This is carrying modern trends of informality too far for a restaurant with upscale pretensions.Lesson learned, next time we will know what to choose. The overall decoration has charm and elements of an upscale feeling. For parking use the one by the bullring. Do NOT dare to drive to the door. It is at the end of a one way blocked street and the only way out is by backing about 100 meters.

This is a very unique restaurant with an incredibly creative chef! Price fixed 26€ for a 7 course meal (includes dessert). The presentation of each course is extraordinary with unique combinations of flavors. We enjoyed the roasted pork with anchovy and chili’s, the basque version of guacamole, and many more. It’s so much fun and a very unique experience. You need to push your way through the crowd at the front of the bar to reach the restaurant In back. Go with a sense of adventure!!!

We called in for a quick drink and a pintxo mid-afternoon and I just loved the bar!! The most amazing display of old glass bottles, the beautiful tiles, the old weighing scales above the bar, plus all the old photos and pics - great!!Unfortunately : we loved it so much we decided to return for lunch the next day (Saturday) but only two or three pintxos available at 1pm, and the tapas menu not available till 2 .... Time your visit here!!

We were ready for a culinary trip that would delight the senses. And Europa did not disappoint. From the appetizers with cava to the mains with pinot all was delicious. The dessert was served with an appropriate sweet wine. The soft shell crab baked in a shell was my favorite and the suckling pig was served style lichon. All delicious and more than enough food and wine. We had the smaller of the two tasting menus and could barely finish. At 65 € it was resonable. The larger menu is 90€ and has 2 more courses and 2 more wines to go with it. All together we had 5 glasses of wine with our meal. Fantastic but go there with an appetite!

We were close by leaving - unfortunately we didn’t as we were to tired. To order food was hard - this waiter behind the counter ignored us - we tried to put our order but he wasn’t really interested in serving us. I ordered a few things - then he served someone else in the middle of it. Of course he didn’t understand English - but he did not make any attempt of helping us in any way. Just so unbelievably rude and unfriendly. We didn’t like the food - might be a question of taste but it was all so fat - deep fried or with lots of mayonnaise - and all heated in the microwave. Felt uncomfortable after eating. Only 2 nice things - foie gras and smoked eel. This place was the only big mistake on our trip.

Probably the best food in Pamplona on a relative basis (although somehow our hotel, the Muga de Beloso, had better food) but was not worth the price on an absolute basis. We particularly enjoyed the smoked salmon dish. We did think that the bread was subpar. An interesting factoid was that the restaurant is owned and operated by the Rodero family. Our waitress, Alejandra, was the granddaughter of the founder. She was great.
