Skalka is one big building consist of hotel, small shop and restaurant. Around the building is big garden, just shame they do not have children playground. They offer outdoor and indoor seeting, the place is quite busy, they have enough friendly staff to serve, quite good selection of food. The food itself was freshly cooked but nothing special - just an average. Just my friend said his pasta bolognese was so incredibly sweet that it should be served as sweet dish:-)

No English menu available but friendly staff gladly provides help in translating some of the menu items.Good tasty food in abundant portions. We liked the creativity that was put into the burger and steak menu.We enjoyed the atmosphere on the terrace a lot.

We'd forgotten to book anywhere and Mincovna squeezed the six of us in. What a great place with attentive staff, delicious food and some very tasty wines.

Very good restaurant in the centre of Vrchlabi with wide range of dishes to choose from. Burgers are good (tried thise before), this time we ordered pulled pork in tortilla from daily menu, turkey with salad in tortilla with cheddar sauce and grilled chicken with proscuitto. The pumpkin soup with sour cream and ginger was delicious! Everything we ordered was very good (as we are used to in this restaurant) and the staff was friendly. Recommend this place for either lunch/dinner or coffee with some nice dessert (they have more options you can choose from).

NávÅ¡tÄva tohoto podniku mi silnÄ zkalila dojem z Jilemnice. V nedÄli jsme zde Å¡li na obÄd, protože vyhlášená restaurace Å aldův statek byla obsazena. Äekali jsme spolu s nÄkolika rodinami hodinu v málo vÄtraném prostoru, kde se na nás obÄas pÅiÅ¡la podÃvat zcela unavená ÄÃÅ¡nice s omluvou, že nestÃhajÃ. Po hodinÄ jsme to vzdali. Å patná organizace, málo vzduchu, pivo teplé. Tam opravdu již nikdy vÃce.

Weâve been travelling all around the world for last 4 years, eaten at hundreds of restaurants off all kinds - this one is one of the best. And itâs in my (almost) home town :-) What a great surprise! Well done, Vrchlabi.Food is amazing. Glass of house malbec very good. Service - thatâs what it should look like. Pleasant, friendly, helpful, easy going, not in your face. Can you teach some of your competitors please? We are here for another two weeks. Weâll be back a few times to taste the rest of the menu.

We are small, cossy, family restaurant. Using only fresh ingredients, serving local beer and very good wine. Everybody are more then welcome.

Room was very clean, well-heated, large yet cozy feeling. Comfortable beds. Nice place for families. Backyard had a play area for children, a fire pit with chairs, and several picnic tables. Food at restaurant was excellent. Wonderful homemade bread! Owners/staff were very attentive. Very reasonably priced. Good value for your money.Thank you!

Out local supplier recommended this as a restaurant they use frequently. Food choices were excellent with many local dishes. The food was really good and service could not fault. Would ask to go here again next time in am in Jilmenice.
