Marché Pfalz is situated in the heart of the vineyards of the Pfalz region, on the A6 highway towards Saarbrücken. Make a pit-stop and recharge your batteries. Enjoy the atmosphere of our lively market and watch us cook before your eyes: frying, chopping,
Our tour group stopped here for lunch on our way from Belgium to Munich. It was typical of the cafeteria buffets we visited at multiple locations in France and Belgium, with the restaurant part of a gas station and convenience store complex. Each of these restaurants had a little of the local fare. For my lunch I had the sausage, potatoes and carrots with cheese cake for dessert and a beer. For a quick lunch stop all of these types of places have a great selection of salads, entrees, sides, desserts and a limited beer and wine selection. Like other places, there is usually one member of the staff who speaks very good English and the rest know enough that you are able to get your point or request across.
We had starters (about 9 Eur), main dishes (about 20 Eur) and dinners. Some were very tasty (fish with salad, meat with mushroom sauce, soups) some were strangely combined and not very tasty (Greetings from France, Wurstsalat). Overall ok and average. I visited much better restaurants.

It's a trap. Just because you put the words "Irish Bar" or "Irish House" on the outside doesn't mean you'll receive Irish hospitality, service or quality. As already mentioned in previous reviews, the smoke situation is bad. I knew smoking was allowed indoors in many parts of eastern Europe but didn't realize it was permitted in Germany. After we left, I needed to wash my clothes to get the smell out.We came for dinner as we were staying in the hotel across the street. They were out of lamb and had only one order of fish and chips left. The rest of us settled on burgers. There was nothing special about them. The basket it came it was really cold making me wonder if they kept them outdoors? My friend got the last order of fish and chips. Good portion but there was very little taste. Very bland. Made me think it was the British doing the cooking! Finally, I ordered a Kilkenny ale. I thought it tasted watery. Not what I recalled drinking in Ireland a month previous. All in all, I'd avoid this place. As we stayed in the area for a week, a group of us met after work for a couple of beers. This place was suggested for it's location. Enough of us had been here and we immediately said "No". A good first step in improvement is installing "smoke eaters" to vent the place or move your smokers outdoors.

This restaurant impressed with its fresh herbs, savory sauces and nuanced flavors. The outdoor courtyard seating had a relaxing ambiance. The food had a high end taste but at a reasonable price. The multilingual waiting staff were welcoming and attentive. 10/10 would recommend this restaurant.

Everything was perfect during my stay but people working behind the desk at the reception could be a lutté more welcoming...

This little gem of a hotel and restaurant is hidden well back of the main road, and perhaps that's what lent to the ambience. It was decorated like so many charming German restaurants, that are located in the smaller villages or towns of Germany. The menu was simple, but prepared very nicely and was very, very good. Wine and beer were limited, but again very good. The food and atmosphere lent itself to a very relaxing and upbeat experience.

This little gem offers a wonderful view, attentive service and great food. Lots of outdoor seating under large umbrellas available - I have never eaten inside here so I cannot speak to the atmosphere indoors. Food is delicious - many options for fish lovers and non-lovers alike. Fresh food, simply prepared and beautifully served. Wide selection of wines and beer. Peaceful place to share a meal with family or friends.

The Wooden Spoon consistently delivery hearty, home-cooked portions of regional German cuisine. It's a wonderful "neighborhood" restaurant with proprietors who truly care about the patrons. Portions are hearty, but they do offer half-portions upon request for those with a smaller appetite. All around, The Wooden Spoon is a great place for family, couples, and special occassions. However, pay attention to the calendar and ensure you have a reservation on German holidays. Otherwise, you'll miss out on one of the gems of Sembach.

This restaurant has interesting interior and very comfortable and quiet Biergarten. Staff speaks perfectly English and is very friendly, service is fast. Flammkuchen is Flammkuchen, nothing more, nothing less. I couldn't complain. I enjoyed evening there and I am sure I will come back.
