Wir hatten einen Portugiesen dabei. Und der muss es ja wissen. Der Fischtopf (Caldeira Peixe) kommt ziemlich nah ran an das Original (Mama) aus dem eigenen Elternhaus in Lissabon. Aber auch der servierte Kabeljau (Bacalhau Asado) und das Steak vom Thunfisch erhalten unterm Strich gute Kritiken, wobei etwas zu viel Sauce dem Lachs deutlich an Eigengeschmack wegnimmt. Die (als Vorspeise) gereichten Tapas sind lecker, aber es ist Geschmacksache, ob man auf jede Menge Knoblauch steht. Ist beim hiesigen Angebot allerdings kaum zu vermeiden. Die Portionen sind in jedem Fall riesig. Das sollte man im Vorfeld wissen, sonst dürfte die Hälfte locker wieder zurück gehen, auch wenn man zu den âGuten Essernâ gehört. Schön ist, dass man mit einem jovialen Handschlag begrüÃt und verabschiedet wird, auch wenn man erstmalig hier zu Gast ist. Der Service ist zwar langsam, aber die Mitarbeiter dafür freundlich und locker. Das hilft, die Wartezeit zu überbrücken. Schade nur, dass bei acht Gästen in unserer Gruppe die Gerichte nicht zur gleichen Zeit serviert wurden. Die ersten waren schon fertig bevor die letzten ihr Essen bekamen. Das schafft eine eher ungesellige Atmosphäre und trübt das ansonsten tendenziell positive Bild des Restaurants. Bei einem romantischen Abend zu zweit dürfte dieser Aspekt aber wohl keine grössere Rolle spielen. Fazit: wer mal nicht zu seinem Standard-Italiener will und auch die sonst üblichen Restaurant-Klassiker lieber skippt, der ist im Casa Iberica in Hennef grundsätzlich gut aufgehoben!!! Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt jedenfalls.

A wonderful place for a drive into the countryside and for a good meal.I had a Mediterranean chicken special and my wife the Trout (forelle). Both were excellent -clearly the chef has Italian influence. We sat out on the terrace with a couple of glasses of wine. Perfect. and only 55 euros for 2

This place has such a unique character. We came across it totally by chance, and my, what a discovery it was! The menu doesn't offer much, but the little on it is good. All the dishes are vegetarian or vegan. The place is perfect for a drink and a snack at the end of a hike along the Sieg river. The side balcony offers beautiful views of the Siegfalls, the music is chilled (They have live music very often in the evenings) and the staff is super friendly.We ended up sitting there for almost 2 hours, just enjoying the place itself. Note that the place open daily only from April to October, the rest of the time it is only open on weekends with nice weather.

We decided to take a drive outside Fussen and came decided to stop for some lunch. It is situated in the middle of Schwangau village. The restauant decor is typically Bavarian and warm, inviting and comfortable. The menu is also typically bavarian. We ordered the Maultashin (German Ravioli) and Kase Spatzle (German style cheese noodles). The food that arrived was really good and not at all as heavy as we had expected. The dishes were accompanied by excellent side salads. The waitress was very friendly and found time to talk to us and share a joke. Check it out, you wont be disappointed.

A proper German "Wirtshaus", the Hennefer Wirtshaus is a fantastic place to meet friends, to have good and not too expensive food and a nice fresh beer. The service is quick and although the restaurant is always really full, works excellently well. The staff is really amazing. The food is very good and they have special daily offers.

My family and I have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. The service is friendly and attentive. The historic Drei Giebelhaus is a beautiful setting for the restaurant. The menu has not changed much but every we have tried is well done. One of my favorites is the Njoki Gorgonzola.Reservations are recommended, especially around holidays.

After 2.5 hours walk in the beautiful countryside around Bröleck, Ruppichteroth, we went for lunch in Bauernschänke on Easter Monday. It was absolutely packed and we were asked whether we had booked a table which we had not. They accommodated us anyway and were very kind. We got very good, down to Earth food. The salad was excellent and I cannot understand why you would complain about it (see review further down). Some of us had a Schnitzel which was huge and good with fried potatoes and one of us had a Fladenbrot. Latter is very big, even the small one and should only be eaten if you are really hungry. We enjoyed the stay very much. Bauernschänke is not the place for a posh evening out but a good place for decent food after a long walk with muddy boots on your feet. They also have outside seating. Inside is very quaint but certainly not everybody's taste - far from contemporary. Yes, this is the right place for active, hungry, walking people, bikers, and cyclists.

The restaurant is situated in a little old town called Stadt Blankenberg - this is already an attraction by itself. Sitting on the terrace of the hotel restaurant is an excursion into the German history! We had our lunch at the terrace and were more than satisfied - particularly after choosing the Lunch Menu. It was really great value consisting of soup, a main course with tender meat and a delicious dessert. But also a-la-carte was very good and is recommendable. The only disadvantage is the difficulty to get there - but using a GPS will avoid our mistake!

The restaurant is located in an old watermill, next to a little stream with a wonderfull beergarden. The indoor restaurant is very romantic. In summer you can order food fresh from the grill. The allday menues are very tasty.

I love this place!We stopped in this small town enroute to Frankfurt to grab something to eat. We were walking into another restaurant but the smell coming out of La Vida Loca was just too enticing.The food was simple and tasty with everything home made. The owner could not have been more welcoming especially when we don't know how to speak German. His English was very good and he was so accommodating and was letting us taste some things off his menu.My husband and I would definitely be coming here again when we visit Germany next!
