Reviews on European food in Ciampino, Province of Rome, Italy. Ciampino is a town and comune in the Metropolitan City of Rome, Lazio, Italy. It was a frazione of Marino until 1974, when it became a comune; it obtained the city status (being therefore officially known as Città di Ciampino) in 2004 by presidential decree.

We were looking for a place for lunch and just happened on to Terzo Gusto. The food was absolutely wonderful. The offered both house made pasta dishes as well as pork, beef and fish. The outdoor seating was serene. The service was top notch. Although the menu was only printed in Italian, the wait staff was fully multi-lingual so ordering was easy. We will definitely be back.

I came here with two my assistants and liked so much the ambient and intense atmosphere. Welcome from staff and serving from gentle Piera was unique she gave us best plates with fish food. I preferred black tonnarello but to be honest all is amazing. Perfect the almond sorbetto. Great . Recommended.

We are staying down the street at the Villa di Giulia, this was the place they recommended for lunch. The portions were generous, the quality was great, and the service was friendly. The seafood special my dad ordered was unbelievable and so generous- a fantastic value! Definitely worth the stop! Near the Ciampino airport.

Visited last night, friendly staff. Cocktails to start if you wish. We had a Moretti real ale 7.2% proof !! Decent prices and food was very good. Not much choice in the vicinity but this place frequented by the locals and worth a visit

Great food (especially the burgers), great beers, great atmosphere. Choice of wines is a bit limited, but this place is more about the craft beers.Fantastic service, with good recommendations from the staff and the opportunity to try the beers before you buy. Excellent value for money too. Recommended!

We were visiting relatives in Rome and they treated us to a meal at this restaurant. There was ample inside seating but it was a beautiful night in July 2016, so we sat at one of a dozen or so tented areas outside. The tents were far enough apart that the effect was quite beautiful as you could see, but not really hear, the other guests. I am not really sure how the order for dinner was placed but something like "bring us your usual" was told to the waiters. The service was impeccable. Soon after our arrival the first dishes started arriving. Most of the first course was ample servings (family style) of fish (salmon, shrimp, crawfish, scallops, anchovies and several other fish) served ceviche style along with raw oysters. There were many different preparations of how the fish was served alongside other ingredients (as in a salad) but the visual effect was as stunning as the taste. The fish was (obviously) very fresh and the taste was like nothing I have experienced. I think this is the first time I have eaten more than a bite of fish prepared this way and certainly have not seen this range of fish on menus in the USA. This course along took about an hour to serve and complete, and in the USA, the meal would have been complete. It was delicious. The second course was pasta with different seafood added, my wife and I asked for gluten-free pasta and this was not a problem. The pasta was served in a tomato sauce that was delicious and loaded with shrimp, crawfish, scallops and other fish. Again this was delicious as well. They were very accommodating for the kids, bringing some more kid-friendly food, but my 12 year old daughter learned that she liked anchovies, if they are like they were at L'Altra Tappa. The kids had dessert that looked wonderful but the adults were tapped out on the meal. This was one of the best meals I have ever experienced and it was a real treat. It is worth looking at the website --- the pictures give you an idea of the meal. The website is written in Italian but pictures day a 1000 words. This restaurant is a bit southeast of Rome, but it is a great treat.

We were staying nearby at a B&B and our host strongly recommended this place. We were not disappointed. The locals all go here, it was packed and for good reason. Food was stunning and authentic. I had mozzarella and prosciutto to start, then an amazing pasta dish with a truffle and sausage sauce. My wife had a huge salad with grilled veggies and grilled salmon. Also had dessert (by an award winning chef), coffee and homemade limonecello of course. Our waiter was happy to speak with us in English and was lots of fun and really helpful. Best waiter I've had the pleasure of being served by in a long time. In short, if you are in this area, you have to go here.

Wonderful, authentic Roman food. Perfect pasta and grilled meats. I highly recommend the Carbonara and the Cacio Pepe.Just around the back of the airport in a quiet neighbourhood, it doesnt look much (will be refurbished shortly) but the food is absolutely first class. The crowd is mostly local workers and business people, prices are very affordable.
