Calella (Catalan pronunciation: [kəˈɫeʎə]) is a seaside city on the Costa del Maresme, 58 km northeast of Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. It is located on the coast between Sant Pol de Mar and Pineda de Mar. Prior to the arrival of tourism in the 1960s, economic activity of the town was primarily focused on textile manufacture and fishing.

The portions are quite large so I suggest you share every dish.we were wise enough to share our starter of a fried fish dish, but then made the mistake of ordering a portion sardines each, Wow, I got through mine, but my friend gave up after number nine.

We ordered far too much food which included mixed grill meat, chicken kebabs, lamb and grilled vegetables. We ended up eating it all and rolled back to the hotel. The food was out of this world and cooked to perfection. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough if your a meat eater. The waiter (Diren) Could not be more accommodating and was helpful with all the food and explanations of desserts. This place is definitely well worth a visit and also sitting inside because it has air con. They do have outside eating.

Visited this bar twice in our 4 day stay. It is in s sunny square near the library. Very pretty location in the older part of town.This bar was great. Very friendly staff. Great drinks. I had cava sangria which was amazing but they had a big range of other drinks too. Various tapas ; we had patatas bravas and came back the next day for more as it was so good. You also get bowls of snacks with your drinks including tortilla and a delicious manchego cheese. Lively square which was great for people watching. Highly recommend this bar

Whilst being on possibly the worst holiday ever we stumbled across Gringo Joe's and this possibly saved us. We visited twice once to watch a football game and have dinner and then again where we took friends from our hotel for dinner. Our first visit was amazing as there were atleast 4 screens with football showing and we had a fillet steak with the most dreamy pepper sauce for only 11euros which was in itself such an amazing deal. The staff were amazing plesent, friendly and helpful. The meal was absolutely incredible especially as we were experiencing such terrible food at our hotel (H.Top Olympic) and this honestly kept us alive. We then visited again with friends from the hotel as we explained how amazing it was and they also needed to be saved from the hotel to which everyone was and agreed how amazing the meal was. Thank you for making some of our holiday something to remember and smike for :) definately worth every penny.

Food was fantastic, absolutely brilliant. Atmosphere and host were equally good, honestly lovely. Family all agreed. Setting was also great, courtyard with an open roof and also a traditional enclosed area. Very cosy without feeling small. Couldnât rate highly enough. Ate there every day once we found it.

Had super family dinner here last night. Great mix of local dishes with some burgers and steaks also. Cheerful engaged staff took time to explain any queries we had. Excellent wine list. Most customers were Spanish/Catalan with a lot of regulars judging by interactions with staff....always a good sign. We booked 48 hours in advance and on the night it was fully booked from 8pm on. A short enough walk from Calello train station and worth travelling for.Thanks for recomending us!We are glad that you enjoyed your visit at NUI Beach. A fabulous find . Can't rave enough about this place . Excellent food excellent staff and so clean . I am a coeliac and they provided freshly baked gf baguette for me . Well versed in gf as owners children coeliac. Still on holiday but can't wait to go back really left an impression on us . What a great spot! The bar was so appealing that we popped in and found that, whilst much of the menu was dedicated to meat-eaters, we 3 vegetarians tried 4 vegetarian/vegan options and each one of them was absolutely divine, from vegetarian haggis on a bed of mashed minted peas to Japanese seaweed salad with tofu, asparagus with ajo blanco and a delicious Caprese salad. It was so good that we had to try 3 of the 4 desserts...all fabulous but especially impressed by the toast and marmalade flavoured icecream! All washed down with delicious eco wine.
