This is a casual cafeteria with good food at a low price. We ate there one lunch and one supper. We had a breaded pork cutlet (R213), a veggie and pork soup (R150), a chicken noodle soup (R85), a borsht vinaigrette (R56) twice and a salmon fillet (R200). It was all quite good but not fancy. Weâd go there again. There are no English labels but you donât really need it on a cafeteria line as you are looking right at the food.

The cafe has been just opened in the building earlier occupied by a supermarket. It is a small self-service cafe with prices per 100g that promise you healthy food from local products. The dishes really look nice and home-made. The menu is not very large, but they have several types of salads, main courses, desserts, etc. The bar is separate, coffee and some desserts are to be ordered in the bar. There is also a good choice of alcoholic drinks. The cafe is in the same building as Sibirskoe Bistro (once a good budget cafe that now it leaves much to be desired) and I suppose this newly opened Petrushka will attract the people who used to go to Sibirskoe Bistro.The interior design is nice and modern. The staff is helpful, though not very professional. I was a bit surprised at the gloomy barrista who complained about weariness after working with no days-off. Hope that this was the unique episode.All in all I would gladly recommend this new cafe as a good place to have meal or some dessert.

In general Iâm not impressed by food in Russia however I had the pumpkin and chicken risotto here and wanted to order another dish. I would come back here/ 10 next time Iâm in Tomsk.

The best desserts in Tomsk, probably in whole Siberia. Creative, interesting, delicate, flavoursome, simply delicious and outstandingly presented, we came back the next day to try some more. Our favorite was the Russian honey cake.In case you would like some savoury food and not desserts for starters and main ( which could be easily done) I highly recommend the fish soup and the super tender, "melt in your mouth" beef cheek with potato puree and balsamic glazed beetroot.And to finish off a delicious night do it real Russian style with a Samovar Tea experience.Thank you for making our anniversary deliciously unforgettable

The guide book labels this as a pricy but first cabin restaurant. They are right on both counts. The food is excellent, the service is excellent and the prices are a bit elevated. The only poblem I had is that the tables have a cross supporting bar between the legs that really constrains both how close you can sit to the table and where you can put your legs. It was not comfortable, but I survived and it did not significantly detract from the fine food. We did not order a starter so they provided a complementary small dish of salsa-like dip and some baked bread bits. We did order soups, a tomato soup with big tomato bits in it (R259) and a very good borscht (R258), with a large chunk of beef in it. We got a nice heavy bread roll to soak up the last bits of soup (R15). I got a grilled pork hunk (R530) and a potato, cuke and tomato side (they call it a garnish but it is the separate veggies that you donât pay for most places but always seem to do at fancy restaurants) (R94). We both got a tea which was served at the end of the meal with about 200 ml of honey. Putting all that honey in the tea made it a nice desert drink. All in all, an excellent place and an excellent dinner.

We've been there for the first time and have been surprised by comparatively high quality of the food. The cheese plate comprised Brie, chèvre and several other types of cheese. The point is that the cheeses on the plate exactly matched what was written in the menu (not typical for Russia where it is just hard to buy these cheeses). The grilled salmon was good, with fresh vegetables. The fried potatoes with mushrooms and onion were like in my grandma's kitchen! The Pesto sauce was not the Pesto at all though. The waiter was quite polite. Beer was not the best, but quite well. We spent about 1750 rubles (almost 40 Euro) for two. I would also say that there is not smth special in decoration inside. It could be smth a bit more original. Think, we shall return.
