I have tried Hungry Dane burgers in Aarhus, Copenhagen, and Odense. Now they are in Fredericia. Why should only the large Danish towns have the benefit of a great burger? The Sous-vide method of cooking the meat makes it delicious and juicy. The key part is that they cook it in duck fat, which is much healthier than oil and ads a fantastic taste component.thanks a lot - hope to serve you soon again

Staying at the Hotel it’s the easy choice, after driving the whole day. The ambiance seemed pretty cold, with Modern furniture.Pretty annoying, that an older waiter was pushing and loudly ordering a young trainee around in front of the restaurant guests.Okay menu - however quite expensive.Scallops:25 minutes wait, however worth it. Very tasty and well presented!Farmers Burger:Waited another 20 minutes. Great Burger with steak slices. However no spice or barbecue sauces?? Such a shame.. ok fries, with sad aioli.Service: Extremely slow on a very quiet evening. Free WiFi.Hello and thank you for your reviewI must say from my personal experience, that 20-30 min. waiting time is very normal in Denmark.I´m not sure what sauces they have in the restaurant, but we have some chilli and other sauces as well, so maybe they have some you wished for, I don´t know if you asked for them. If you did and they didn´t have any you would like, I´m very sorry for that, I hope you understand it´s difficult to satisfy each guest´s aste.I don´t know how the training of a new waitress/waiter was, but I agree it shouldn´t be very apparent to the guests. On the other hand, we all need to learn somehow and it can be difficult sometimes not to loose patience with new employees.BR Hotel Fredericia

Cafe Vivaldi - Fredericia

We visited the Café Vivaldi in Fredericia whilst visiting the town during a day stop over. We had taken a walking tour during the day and stopped off here afterwards for a cup of coffee and a cake. We ordered our drinks and a large cookie inside, and took a seat outside in the afternoon sunshine at one for the many tables set out along the pavement. The waitress that served us spoke very good English (which was great as our Danish is non-existent)! The coffee was served in a glass rather than a mug which is very ‘continental’ and was very good. The street here is quite wide and pedestrianised so we did not feel cramped and opposite was a large water feature though this was not working at the time of our visit. The café was reasonably busy with a mixture of tourists and what appeared to be locals as well, all in all a very pleasant venue to enjoy your drink and watch the world go by.The price of our visit was relatively high to what one might expect to pay in the United Kingdom though whether this was due to the currency exchange rate or a higher cost of living in Denmark we were not sure.Dear Stewart.Thank you for your fine review. We are pleased that our coffee and cake tasted great and that you enjoyed your stay in Fredericia. If you visit Fredericia again, you are very welcome :-) :-) Best regards, Lina - Vivaldi Customer Service

The restaurant is located in the old harbour of Fredericia and has views to Lillebelt and the old bridge that joins Fyn and Jutland. There is a nice terrace for good weather days and two spacious rooms nicely decorated with fantastic views and lots of light.I have tried a lunch buffet which offered a wide choice of good quality food. I have also been to a birthday party where we were served a three courses menu. All was nicely presented, the quality was really good and service excellent too.It offers good value for money and the most important, it is a pleasure for the senses. If you want to enjoy a good meal in a nice place, do not hesitate, you will leave the restaurant happy as I did.

Went here this week. Asked about if they for an appertif, but they seemed not ready for that. Very unusual as all the Michelin restaurants we have eaten at offer this. Had the five course menu which nearly took five hoursto complete. It took over one hour to get our first course which was pretty good. Then waited another hour for the second course a monk fish which was tough and not cooked right. Then we waited another 40 minutes for some type of weird rootbeet tartar which I felt tasted bitter and very strange. During these waits we sat with empty wine glasses, and empty plates of bread and no attention at all from the staff. Finally we told Mette how unimpressed we were. She was sorry to hear that but not apology at all, and after that we received a very cold service. I did not understand the pork tenderloin dish at all, a very disappointing dish. The desert was also disappointing and visually It was not very appealing, what was that weird brown color sauce doing on the plate. After we complained the service did speed up a little bit. I most say we expected more with their recent success, Not much has changed since we ate there last time. They seemed overwhelmed with a full house, and it appears the kitchen can not keep up. Having one person pour the wine is not enough, she can hardly keep up with all tables booked. Plates were not removed fast enough and the noise level in the restaurant is very loud. I must say the only highlight was the male waiter who was the only person who smiled and had an upbeat personality. We are also used to having the chef mix with the guests but none of that here. So in summary a huge disappointment, when you spend this type of money you expect to have a fun time, not feeling stressed and not being paid attention/pampered to is not accepted. We will not be returning again.
