Definitely “off the beaten path” with minimalist architecture and cute Scandinavian furnishing. Lovely pool and area to lounge and George and his wife were fantastic hosts!! Gave us plenty of recommendations, prepared a delicious breakfast and even sent us off with a small jar of their homemade fig and pumpkin jam!! 100% recommend

Reviewed By Elizabeth JWe needed a last minute hotel and found Casas da Moagem and thank god we did! I was initially hesitant to book because the only room left was one with a shared bathroom (shared with one other room) but honestly, the place was so clean and well kept that i didn't even notice! The owner was very nice and accommodating and the breakfast was very good. Highly recommended!

Quiet serenity
Reviewed By Nico OI did not know what to expect when I drove our the rails of the abandonned railway station (so sad). And then this small hotel at the end of the road. Refurbished with nice bedrooms and places to dream on the couches outside, with candle light and total silence. The owner was nice and helpful, the breakfast good. No bar or restaurant but the owner surprised us with a bucket of ice for our champagne that we bought elsewhere and 2 champagne glasses. We spent a good part of the evening looking at a clear sky where stars were playing games . If you want cosy silence, this is the place

Just delightful
Reviewed By Paul BHad a brief stay and wished it could have been longer. Peaceful setting , small lake surrounded by cork trees and wildeness well off the beaten track. Actually ideal for family with small children as there are quite a collection of animals and a well-organised feeding time visit, everything from ostriches to guinea-pigs and two delightful donkeys always on the look-out for food. Also an excellent swimming pool. The accommodation is a series of wooden bungalows which are very tastely decorated and well-equipped - anything missing and very attentive, cheerful staff will try and fix it. Easy to cook up an evening meal and our apartment even had a dishwasher. Relaxing views from the terrace and the bathroom - which does have one way glass ! Incredibly comfortable bed but sleep shortened by early morning sunlight. Only downside - if you forget something or want to dine out one evening a bit of a drive but for a short stay absolutely ideal.

Located 1 km from the town of Reguengos de Monsaraz, Outeiro do Barro features a restaurant and an outdoor swimming pool with panoramic views of the Alentejo plains. Free WiFi is available. Reviewed By Ken UThis is an excellent find if you are in the area of Reguengos do Monsaraz book in here.It is a little way out of town so you need a car and it is 5 minutes drive into town.The rooms are extremely clean and very comfortable beds.I must mention the host Rita nothing is too much trouble and very helpful in explaining places too visit,I must also mention her Mum a lovely lady.Breakfast is included and gives a wide choice fresh orange juice pastries bread cheese and meats all in all you would be hard-pressed to find anywhere better to stay would very highly recommend this 5 Star property.

Reviewed By OzoneSpinThis B&B is based on an old family farm - the rooms are basic but designed to be cool in the day. Breakfast is a delight with fresh produce and good conversation. English is well understood - and your hosts are great people to get to know. The local village a few km away has a nice bar - very low prices - just by the ancient bull ring, that is now closed. A good set off point for Evora, Monsaraz and the lake created by the Alqueva Dam.

Such a Paradise
Reviewed By PaulaTravenWe spent 2 nights at Casal das Oliveiras and had such a great time! The house is beautiful, the swimming pool overlooking the city and sea is the perfect spot to sunbath and relax before going to the beaches. The owner/manager, a lady called Manuela, is the kindest person and makes you feel as in your own house. She prepares a delicious breakfast. We highly recommend Casal das Oliveiras.

"Sonho de Vida"
Reviewed By Nuno FÓtima pausa para férias no Monte Novo da Cruz onde fomos acolhidos com extrema simpatia. Desde os "mimos" à chegada, até à despedida, uma demonstração de bem receber. O espaço exterior é fantástico e com pormenores que revelam a atenção e o cuidado com o mesmo. A magnífica piscina "infinita"; o espaço para as crianças; o relvado, o pinhal e o pomar; a lagoa com os caiaques para uma aventura de final de tarde; os animais...enfim, um "Sonho". A casa é acolhedora e funcional (como se pretende nestes espaços) e a cama muito confortável. O único senão, a proximidade à estrada de acesso. Outro aspeto a destacar, os ótimos vizinhos com quem partilhámos por uns dias a "Vida" no monte. Com uma ótima localização e acessos, é ideal para partir à descoberta da Costa Vicentina. Parabéns e Felicidades para a Família "Monte Novo da Cruz" e, esperamos nós, até uma próxima visita...
