We had a fantastic stay here in this beautiful, modern hotel. The staff went over and beyond to accommodate us at next to no notice, and it was greatly appreciated. Rooms are great with younger children. We've loved the balcony with the city lights, and room service had delicious foods. We will definitely be back!

Super luxury apartments in a splendid location. Conveniently placed for a very shor walk to the V and A Waterfront much of it being within the secured grounds of the property.We felt very safe there for our first 3 nights in RSA. Excellent value for money Reception could be improved.

We had stayed at Icon about 12 years ago and it was super stay. 5 star apartments but Sad to say we are staying here at the moment currently in 1900 and all I can say is ICON YOUR STANDARDS HAVE DROPPED DRASTICALLY. From 5 star to literally a 1 star. Our check in was awesome and so was the receptionist that helped us. Nothing else to brag about. Pathetic rooms, stinky cupboards, towels and blankets. Poorly decorated rooms. Filthy and burnt pot. Totally unfurnished kitchen. Bedding is most uncomfortable. Hardly any TV channels basically nothing to watch. Broken blinds no aircons in the room. Bathrooms are despicable and so old and worn out. We really expected ICON APARTMENTS to be a good choice. The amount paid for this accommodation was and is not cheap thus a totally disappointing payment and experience

This has been our 3rd stay at the hotel but things have deteriorated to the point where we would not return. There are guests who sit and drink in the courtyard on a daily basis and shout till after midnight. When complaints are lodged nothing happens. I would not stay there again.

STADIUM GUEST HOUSE is a Bed & Breakfast or Self-Catering serviced upmarket establishment. The guesthouse is located in a quiet, secure, up-market area opposite the Green Point Stadium / 1 kilometre from V & A Waterfront ~ area is safe to walk. The guesthouse is close to all amenities. Very Nice stay! Very clean, Every day cleaning. Felt safe! Very helpfull and friendly host! Breakfast excellent! Close to shops and restaurant and walking distance to waterfront and sea front. Nice room with lovely balcony

Stephan, Andre and their staff are superb hosts! They take care for you with al kind of things: beach towels, umbrella’s , candles when electricity drops down in Capetown and more! The room with balcony and pantry was clean and very comfortable. Everything; restaurants, bars, shops are nearby at the wonderful neighbourhood Waterkant. Don’t hesitate: book here :-)

my daughter and i stayed there, my daughter switched on the TV and there was porn on it,she is 12. We felt very uncomfortable sleeping there and spent most of the day out of the lofts. I also slipped getting in the tub because there was no grip mat . The facilities were excellent.

Roaches

Management is dismissive of roach problem. Even in the middle of the day, I see roaches. Asked to change rooms and they moved me down the hall to a room that had an equally bad roach infestation. 2 other colleagues reported roach issues as well.

Fawlty Towers Afari Lodge

Fawlty Towers offers a bright collection of Spacious, Secure, Self-Catering apartments. We are conveniently located near the Green Point Stadium, V&A Waterfront and close to the City Center. Each of our sunny, private flatlets has their own kitchen, bathroom, TV and balcony. Step out onto the sun deck and cool off in the swimming pool after a hot day at the beach. Enjoy our fully equipped barbecue area, including pizza oven and six-burner restaurant grill. The upper reaches of Green Point consist of upmarket, private, modern villas clinging to the side of Signal Hill, affording magnificent panoramic urban views over the densely populated area below and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. Far down below, joggers, roller bladers and dog walkers take their sport along the wide seaboard promenade. The night views are particularly spectacular, with a myriad of lights from the buildings below as well as from passing ships and fishing vessels.

Big Disappointment

What a disappointment, at R800/night for my daughter and I sounded like a bargain. On the plus side the rooms look good, but that is where it ends. The shower pressure was low with Luke warm water. No catering for loadshedding, we had to buy our own candles, the Manageress said she will not buy candles out of her own pocket.(Ha Ha) No refuse collection, we where there for 4 days. No cleaning service to rooms, their response, we are understaffed. I wanted to settle the bill and their card machine does not work. Had to do a EFT. They advertise they have internet, but don't. They do have WiFi, but very slow and not always available. No DSTV, BUT they have Youtube (Only) So we coun't watch anything.(excuse was COVID hit then hard) First night we where there, there was noisy domestic violence (Owners??) in the early hours of the morning. The main bed was very comfortable, but the single was very uncomfortable. Overall a big disappointment, I will strongly recommend not to book there.
