We went to happy monkey by chance and really enjoyed it. The food was amazing and something different as we've never had it before. We had the vegetarian plate and some starters. Definitely one of the best places we went to in VdL, highly recommend it!

I had to try the local dishes and because of the high ratings we went here. Itâs a really small restaurant with a few tables but nice decorated. It looked clean although just behind my girlfriend there were lots of spiderwebs in the corner. The friendly owner explained the menu and after we ordered the food was served within five minutes. Because we didnât see them cooking and only heard a microwave oven it must be prepared food and it tasted like that too. Guests after us who ordered the same became fresh prepared food so for us it was once and never again.

We are located in the left corner of the square (looking at the church). Our entrance is on the side of the square (off of 13th street) We are on the second floor. Complicated but worth it!

The evening we spent at this live music bar and restaurant was one of the most memorable of all our evenings in Colombia. The food was excellent, the music enchanting, the waitress spoke excellent English. We ordered many dishes and enjoyed them all! We spent a long evening here with beers, food, dessert, coffee.

Great local spot, hearty and delicious plate of the day, great value, fun atmosphere. Watch lunch being prepared in the kitchen, just a few tables. Get there weâll before 2pm or they may be sold out.

Villa de Leyva is known for its good food and this restaurant for us was fantastic. Every meal we had here was perfectly cooked and beautifully flavoured. The service was amazing (and they had a lovely waitress who spoke fluent English which was a great help). The atmosphere is cosy but not cramped or pokey. They also had live music which was very cool. Overall we had a great experience here but the food was definitely a highlight. My husband was super happy that they had lamb on the menu, and it came perfectly cooked as did all of our steak meals. We were here in low season, so the atmosphere was a bit lacking. It might be totally different in high season. The burgers were not great, but not bad either. Prices are low, we paid 50.000 for two burgers and two beers, not bad at all for Villa de Leyva.Thank you very much for the comment. Every time we assemble a hamburger, we think about the experience that our guests can have. We are very proud of the generous comments of our guests.

This restaurant is set in a large patio. The food is Colombian. You choose a type of meat and then the carbs or salad to accompany it. The choices include various styles of steak, chicken and pork. The accompaniments include arepas, potatoes of various types and plantains. The deserts are generously proportioned, especially after such a large main course. We came here because of a few mentions on TA about the great veggie burger. Well, that night they were out of veggie burgers. And meat burgers. I had the trout instead, which was very good. However, my dining partner's chicken was undercooked. On the plus side, the service was attentive and the restaurant has a very nice ambiance. Maybe it was an off night, but when you're travelling it's hard to make time to come back.Hello Bob,Sorry about the off night, in fact I think we have one of the best veggie burgers in Colombia. Hope you have a great time in Colombia. If you chance to came back I promise you would rate us with 5 stars.
