Close to the Giggijoch gondola. Bar with after ski and a restaurant. Steaks, pasta and Austrian dishes. Friday is fondue night. Need to book in advance for that. Ok food but not more than that. The children had wienersnitzel and it was ok. Not the best they had have. I hade pasta with shrimp. Also ok but not so tasty. My husband had "käse und speck knödeln mit sauerkräut". The chese dumpings was good but not the other. Nice waiter. Nice restaurant.

I absolutely loved everything about this place. Inside it has traditional décor and very warm feel to it. Yes, it does gets a bit busy during lunch in high season, but service is always very attentive. I was always offered drink and staff did apologize about delays (if any). We ate lunch every day there during 10 days stay for skiing and always found something nice to choose on a menu. There is daily menu and some vegetarian options to choose from. Meal has good size portions and always was freshly cooked. Waiters are smiley and attentive which is unusual for Europe (recently started to notice how bad service actually can get in some of our countries). Highly recommend pasta dishes and local specialties. Fish soup was very tasty as well.

Hotel Gasthof Zwieselstein

After having eaten at just about every place in Obergurgl, we wanted to try something different. Each time we would pass through Zwieselstein, we would wonder about the cute little town. So, asking around at our hotel and the nearby ski shop, they recommended this place. It was a good choice. Sat outside at a picnic table on a sunny day while the kids played. Friendly service and quality Austrian food. Glad we made the stop. Worth detouring on the way to/from Obergurgl, Solden or another spot in the valley.

Breakfast was buffet style with a wide range of choices (loved the fresh orange juice squeezer- nice touch) bedrooms are large with a balcony. Good selection of international tv channels. Skiing to the hotel wa not possible but the reception drove us to the lift station and collected us everyday as the ski bus had also stopped.Ski locker and boot warmers clean and roomy. Good ski shop and rental place in the celler

This is a popular place. It justifies that popularity with amazing Austrian food and service. Place is up the hill, accessible either by town shuttle train and a short walk, or by car. This was the best meals we had during our week in Austria. Compliments to the chef. Everything was outstanding. If you go with a group like our adjoining table, go with the platters that looked incredible.

After our long hike, we had definitely worked up an appetite! And we stumbled across this place - it is right at the bottom of some of the runs and trails. The restaurant is huge and we were some of the only people there (not too much snow is Sölden yet!). Food came quickly and it was delicious! Tried the schnitzel, cordon bleu, and the lumberjack steak and we were all so excited about how yummy it was! It is a lot of food!! We did get an appetizer as well - the pan fried cheese and it was good but it was still a little cold on the inside. Overall, place was great and service was great too!!
