After visiting a nearby monastery we decided to have a dinner on a main square of the town right across from the church. The experience was wonderful as it ticked all the boxes: food, atmosphere and service. It wasn't an extensive menu, but the choices were carefully selected to please even the pickiest client. The choice ranges from traditional schnitzel to steak and Italian dishes. Since I consider myself a blood sausage aficionado I couldn't resist ordering Blutwurst dish and it was delicious. Crunchy on the outside and creamy inside. It was served with mashed potatoes and apple chutney. The atmosphere on Friday night was great. Locals enjoying family time. We were lucky that we came some time around 17:30, because at 18:00 no table was available on the patio right outside the restaurant. The evening was setting, church bells were ringing, farmers were cruising by on small tractors. Idyllic. The waitress serving us was lovely and spoke perfect English. I only wish that there was an English menu so we didn't have to interrogate our waitress. I would definitely recommend anyone who is in the area to visit this lovely restaurant.

This restaurant has it all â good food, excellent and friendly service and a great atmosphere. In fact, you can choose from three atmospheres: the glass-fronted section is quieter and more spacious, the inside section is cosy, more pub-like, or in summer you can sit out in the garden. The menu has a broad range and the prices are extremely reasonable. We personally like the steaks but have never been disappointed, whatever we have chosen. The desserts are delicious. Warning: the portions are very generous! At the weekend it is best to make a reservation to be on the safe side.We have been coming here for several years â and shall continue to do so.

Giant sized portions! Being hungry is not enough. You should be starving! The portions come in XXXXXL size. They are massive - and they are also so delicious you will feel sorry when your stomach is simply unable to take any more in! The restaurant has a
Have been going here for several years. While they have huge (really beyond imagination!) and 1ft diameter hamburgers I've stuck to their ribs and also turkey breast and rice with various sauces. Unless you are looking for a blinding amount of food order the smallest portions they have

Fine wines, regional Rheingau cuisine with game and fish.
Super nice terrace outside with outstanding friendly service from the typically dressed waitresses. Given it was Easter, menu suggestions were fish, which was greatly cooked. Kids menu is available. Unfortunately I was driving so could not taste the wine but my wife said it was delicious.

Excellent authentic German (Deutsch) food in a fantastic space. It must have been a very rich house a long time ago. Chandeliers, art work and other ambience really adds to the eating experience. Our five dishes of food were fantastic and service was prompt and personable. In fact, one of the owners visits the tables to answer questions in Deutsch or English. We will be back! Our friends recommended the place and expectations were high, but they delivered.

We've visited this establishment a few times now and enjoy the occasion - be it summer or winter. Well cooked and prepared traditional food on offer (generous portions), along with attentive and friendly staff - all at reasonable prices too. We'll be back.

A large group of people went there after a funeral in town. Their afternoon cake and coffee offer was very good. Service was efficient and friendly. The Restaurant is under the same ownership as the Hotel. Can be recommended with no restriction!!
