Top 10 Casinos & Gambling in Atlantic City, New Jersey (NJ)

August 12, 2021 Marianna Hollaway

It's the East Coast's answer to Las Vegas. Atlantic City's casinos draw tourists by the car- and bus-load, but even if your main objective is to play some blackjack, you'll want to save time for sightseeing. Stroll along the famous boardwalk with its numerous amusements and eateries or visit the historic, recently restored Absecon Lighthouse. Several fine courses attract golf enthusiasts, and in summer, local beaches are popular with families. Water-based activities include parasailing, charter fishing and tall ship cruises. Casino hoppers have 12 establishments to choose from, which run the gamut from elegance to a Wild West theme, so there's something for everyone's taste. Those who remember Atlantic City in its pre-gambling days can wax nostalgic with a taste of saltwater taffy, which has been an Atlantic City specialty for over 100 years.

Stayed here in the beginning of December. From arriving at valet to check-in to check out three days later it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautiful. The casino is clean and actually smells good! The food at the Buffet is the BEST in Atlantic City. From cleaning personnel to security everyone has a smile and a hello!! Only thing I am not fond of is the allowance of pets in the Casino itself...I have no problem with the rest of the establishment (except restaurants) but the Casino floor should be prohibited!!

This hotel/casino is the best run on the Boardwalk. From check-in to check-out everything is very well run. The check in girls are always smiling and go out of their way to accommodate your room to fit your needs. They have a nice food court and some great restaurants also. They have a good balance of poker machines and slots and tables. They are constantly cleaning and wiping everything down and have many hand stations and wet wipe stations. Lots of change machines too. But the thing that puts them ahead of the other casinos it their top notch cocktail system and their servers. These servers go out of their way to get your drink to you very quickly and they also have a tray of cold water for you too. They really appreciate a tip and you can see they are really sincere about it. They also use the system where they walk around and ask players for drinks. Some of the other casinos make you order through the machine and half the time you never get your drink. They interact very well with the customers and are always smiling and happy to get your drink ! Always clean restrooms and never any trash laying around the machines. I stay there every trip down , just for the cocktail service alone they are the best. I see a lot of people hitting the machines seem very loose. There is a chemistry with the workers and you can see they enjoy their work. Great location and the Land Shark bar on the beach is great too !!
