A tranquil camping haven with integrity

Reviewed By Vicki R

The campsite is exceptionally well looked after by Stuart and Christine, as are all the guests. Our pitch was by the beautiful lake and it was wonderful and spacious. The campsite has a homely and welcoming feel, whilst still having pristine facilities. The toilets, showers and other sanitary facilities were the best we have seen in a campsite for a long time. Added to this is the personal touch of the owners, who are extremely generous with their time and advice to ensure you have a holiday to remember. A highlight for us was the communal dinner, where campers from across Europe sat down and Christine and Stuart fed us a wonderful local meal for an excellent price. Just thinking about it makes me want more aligot (very very cheesy mashed potato typical of Aveyron). If you are looking for a well kept campsite with scenic views and a personal touch, then look no further.

Good value

This is a good value campsite. Lovely setting by the river and walking distance to St Geniez which is beautiful and has some nice bars and restaurants. The one downside is they are very short staffed during the day, Sometimes we waited half an hour for a drink at the bar.

Camping Tohapi la Boissiere

Great riverside location

Reviewed By Stephen G

We had to get out of Spain before the curfew rules started. We booked the Boissiere campsite whilst driving over the border in France. What a great little site if you like peace and tranquility. We rented a safari style tent for 2 adults and 2 kids, 10 and 13, and the accomodation was well equipped and very clean. The restaurant and bar were very good and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The only thing I can criticise is the pool area. No chairs, beds or parasols....sitting or lying on the ground was not ideal. Whether this was part of the Covid rules, I'm not sure. Overall a lovely little peaceful place with a canoe rental firm on site to take advantage of the stunning countryside.

RCN Val de Cantobre is located in Nant, Aveyron. Our terrace campsite has a breathtaking view over the valley of Cévennes Nation Park. We offer our guests various accommodations such as mobile homes, chalets, gîtes and safari tents. All accommodations have a furnished terrace, a living area and a kitchen with a dining area. You can enjoy our swimming pool in which you can swim some laps or relax in the jacuzzi. For the more active among us, we also have a forty-metre long wild water slide and even a triple slide. We also have two paddling pools where the little ones can play in the water. Furthermore, we offer multiple sportive activities on our campsite. For instance, we have a multi playfield on which children can play football, volleyball and basketball. Moreover, we have table tennis, a trampoline, multiple playing fields and a jeux de ball court. On top of that, you can try out our Padel court, which is a sport mixed between tennis, squash and badminton. In addition, in the summer children can join the adventures of our mascots Alex & Sammy together with the animation team. After a long day full of fun activities, you can relax in our private Spa Val de Cantobre. Let yourself be pampered in the sauna, hammam and jacuzzi. We have a restaurant with delicious French cuisine as well as a cosy bar to enjoy a drink. On top of that, you do not have to leave the campsite to do your groceries, we have an on-site grocery store with all the products you need for a perfect holiday. There are many activities to do in the surrounding area. You can go cycling or take a long walk in the mountains. Visit local museums and discover the closest city Millau. You can go on an adventurous canoeing trip or even a paraglider experience from the high mountains. Even a day to the sea is an option since this is just about an hour from the campsite. Our staff at the reception would be more than happy to recommend the perfect activities to do for you.

Lousy pool and moderate campsite

Reviewed By martinusc682

Pool too small for the campsite, not bairly enough chairs/loungebeds, so dont expect you can relax near the pool. Doesnt help the constant screaming of kids that is fuether echoed by its location. No bar or place to get a good espresso in the morning. Supermarket is ok; restaurant nice if you like dutch snacks (bitterballen, kroket...). As a panaramo camping you expect nice views, ours was backside of other caravans / cars. Entertainment crew absent or not visible; in the end realized that some young kids were trying to do this without bringing in any vibrant or fun athmosphere. Getting charged for renting some broken padel racquets is an example of poor service. Want to point out that one staff member Joris is fantastic, he understands hospitality and has a heart of gold. Great are the nature and surroundings, canoeing in the dourbie, little villages, nice markets (incl evening ones) and templar history. Climate is bretagnynof the south, so be wary of cold nights and humid/wet and some spells of rain. And majority of guests are dutch; so if you are into this it could be great, watch the dutch soccer on tv in the bar, dutch snacks, and dutch spoken at reception/bar/ everywhere. For us this came as a surprise ans as we normally want to evade our fellow countrymen during holiday, it didnt help our overall spirit.

Fantastic campsite in superb location

Can’t praise this place highly enough. Lovely friendly staff, amazing views, spotless facilities and amazing swimming in crystal clear inland sea We were travelling home from the Languedoc and stumbled across this amazing part of Aveyron. Telephoned ahead to make a reservation and got a good sized pitch right by the beach. Our 11 year old daughter loved the inflatables anchored off the shore line. Tasty supper in the restaurant. Thank you for a memorable stay
