I've been eating twice in Akoya within a month and was both times very happy with their service and food. All food is very fresh, of great quality and prepared with skill and love for the job. It's presented beautifully and tastes fantastic. This is a place I will gladly return whenever I'm back in Male.

We ate lunch here and came back the following night for dinner. Tiny little place with only a couple of tables. The signs out the front promoting 'fast food' - but the food is better than fast food. Everyone loved the vanilla milkshakes. It's worth eating here.....they came around with a free glass of Coke each! So the kids tried it for the first (and only!!) time...

On a recent visit to Hulhumale, I discovered this little gem of a place! Such a great reasonably priced menu, everything from old reliables like Spagetti Bolognaise, Lasagne, Nasi Goreng, Chicken Fried, Burgers, Sushi, Beef wraps, something for everyone! The service was consistently great, food was always hot, great portions and very tasty. Drinks were always super cold! Lovely variety of milkshakes and Juices and people working there were real friendly and helpful. Free wifi too which is always a plus! Located on the seafront, very close to the night market, I highly recommend Shell Beans, it was my number one favourite restaurant for lunch and dinner in Hulhumale and I will definitely be back!

We had our breakfast from SEAHOUSE - at Hulhu-Male' Ferry terminal yesterday. We came late just couple of minutes before they close their buffet. We find everything what we need on the buffet and I must admit the service was great. The waiters were very nice asking whether we need anything. They made us feel special and cared going extra mile to provide what we need. We enjoyed our breakfast. Even though many new outlets are around this is still a nice place to chill out. keep it up.

Stayed three nights at Novina hotel and enjoyed all three days breakfast, Nasi Gorang, Indian Thali meals, Chef's mix meat spagatti are special to mention from Novina Cafe. Chef and entire crew's attitude to make u comfortable is heartening! Trust the hotel management will try to retain these rare assets. See you soon!

Wide variety of items on the menu including common continental dishes. All items were under seasoned perhaps intentionally. Dishes were mediocre in taste. Prices are steep considering practically all ingredients cannot be regionally sourced. A big let down when it came to taste although presentation was beautiful. The interior space, design and seating options were many with sofa and highchair dining tables.Staff are polite, attentive and friendly.

Had a brunch here, the pasta was so good. The food is overall fine and many fancy flavours of Gelato (tried blackforest and mint). Inside cafe, most of part are used for smoking room which is separated by door and glass. Not really suitable for family and kids. The staff is friendly but not really attentive.

Pizzas are amazing. Love the variety of flavors and crust options. Love the hand tossed crispy golden thin crusts AND thick crusts are also light and airy. Great delivery service as well. Honey garlic chicken wings & garlic bread is perfect for takeout with pizza. Also, the peanut butter milkshake is heavenly. This small cafe' is also good for celebrations & you can book in advance. The location is also perfect with a good view, easy parking and just across the China-Maldives friendship bridge.

This restaurant is repeatedly listed as one of the best restaurants in Male so I went with high expectations. Location is excellent with a great view. Service was average. Mocktails were superb so had to have second one. Had dinner on deck at night which was dark and it was a while before a small table light was delivered for us to use. But the biggest disappointment was the food. Given the location we were keen to try the seafood so we opted for the seafood platter. The tuna, calamari, cuttlefish and mussels were all over cooked, dry and rubbery. This is a real shame as given the location this place should be setting standards.
