I've gone here several times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food isn't always exciting, but it's consistently tasty. There are a decent amount of vegetarian options. The prices are reasonable. If you're a beer drinker, definitely try the microbrew made for them by Big Five.

The artcaffe at the Westgate mall definitely got it right on creating a nice environment for family lunches and even one on one meetings. The ambiance was quite welcoming and relaxing. However when it came to the service it wasn't as great as we expected. I had to wait quite long for food and servers didn't seem welcoming themselves or pleased at that moment. I personally love the artcaffe milkshakes but this time I was firstly served in a take away cup and it was only halfway filled, then once it was returned and served in glass it was no longer and thick nice milkshake but rather a milky watery one. Both milkshakes we had ordered had to be returned more than three times.When it came to the meal, I cannot lie the food was very good and well cooked. The home fries were absolutely delicious and I definitely recommend them especially if you have children with you. However with children choose the mild option.I loved the dessert. The dessert won my heart. The Newyork cheesecake is a favourite in my books and I would recommend it for the rest of my life. Artcaffe also has a range of the delicious cakes such as the salted caramel.My only problem is how they treated us and the whole issue with the milkshakes which then turned the experience sour. If it wasn't for the cake then I definitely wouldn't have enjoyed the visit.

The design of the restaurant and the hotel lobby area is light and airy. We started off with drinks by the small swimming pool terrace area, but had our meal in the restaurant when it became too windy.The staff are friendly and accommodating, but the kitchen is letting them down. Our meals were either burnt or tasteless, but they made it up with complementary dessert for all of us. I would try it again, though.I liked the fact that it was not busy so we had loads of privacy.

We met friends for brunch here last Sunday -- the warm and gracious welcome we received from the hostess set the tone for a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The menu is creative and varied and ranges from breakfast to brunch to lunch options. The setting is inviting, beautiful as you are nestled in the forest and the sunlight is diffuse and warm. It was filled with families, locals, friends and groups of what appeared to be corporate ex pats out for an outing in the Park. Many had either just come from a run or walk and others were headed to the pool or tennis counts to relax for the afternoon and make a day of it. Karura Forest is described as 'the lungs of Nairobi' and it is true. It is a welcoming, vibrant place to connect and recharge with nature and friends. I imagine ANY day spent here is a good day.

It's amazing just how much effort and team work has gone into making this one of the best coffee houses in Nairobi. The personal touch and ambie6is amazing. The staff are wonderful. The Java Houses throughout Kenya are, everyone I have been to, excellent places to get a lunch, coffee or inexpensive dinner. Good soups, salads and sandwiches. The fresh brewed cup of coffee is the best in Kenya. Loved the ambience as itâs in the cbd, very attentive waiters who checked up on us. Omar was very kind thank you. A minor tip to Winnie( hostess) next time when a client asks for hot water and lemon pls donât insist that itâs being charged as itâs not a very good look for the standards of the facility.

Have been eating in CJâs in Village Market since they opened and have also tried their City Centre brunch quite a few times. All the food, service is very very consistent and value for money which is very hard to find in Nairobi. The portions are the biggest in any restaurant or cafe in Nairobi. Theyâre very accommodating if you want something different, like this afternoon, I wanted chicken Tenders without chips and the young waitress offered Veg instead which was brilliant. Tea Masala is beautiful..... Great Service, Excellent food, excellent portions, value for money..... very pleased. We all love coming here asa family.
