This was my first ever river rafting experience and I am glad that I choose to go with White World Expeditions. Courteous, informative and welcoming staff. I found out about them online and went in person to book my rafting for 10 KM, but after speaking to them for just few minutes I decided to go with 26 KM one for the next day first in the morning. I paid and left for the day. Next day morning there was a reminder call and when I reached on time everything was ready, the vehicle, the equipment and the guide who was going to take us through the rafting. Oh boy, it was a wonderful experience from the start, when we reached the spot two more participants joined me and total we were 3 with one guide and one additional guide following us on a Kayak. The vehicle dropped us and left to the end point. Our guide gave use the personal floating devices (PFD), a paddle and a dry bag. We were briefed about the techniques on how to hold the paddle, how to paddle, what are different call outs, how to respond, safety tips for about 20 mins and then we were asked to board on and start the rafting. It was overall an 3hr+ memorable rafting experience which I will remember for a very long time. The guide had a go pro and recorded during the rapids, over all we had about 13 different rapids. I without any second thought paid and took the video clips. Overall a great experience with White World Expeditions. I do not want to compare then with anyone else as I have not tried anyone else or even made an attempt to talk to anyone else before I booked rafting with White World Expeditions, my first interaction and experience were so good and I would definitely recommend this to any one looking for River Rafting in Rishikesh.

We travelled in February 2020 just before the whole world went into corona lockdown. Our trip announced as multi adventure tour has fully fulfilled all the promises made upfront and much more. We took airplanes, buses, bikes, boats and also made a lot of walks - even this was a nice adventure. Specially at the three days biking through Rajasthans landscape we saw people living on the farms, working on their fields, a school from inside, marriages and much more. In the cities we saw many cultural highlights, all the colors of the markets and people and even had a lot of of fun with the nice group of people we travelled with. Sarah and her team from Chalo made these weeks to a wonderful experience - not only the tourists view was shown but also a view of the real life in India with all the nice things but not ignoring the problems and issues they have to deal with. It was our 2nd trip to India, and this trip was much better than the 1st one organized by another company (and we saw the tigers!). We would always book another trip with Sarah to experience new India adventures.

While we made the most of it by exploring the nearby areas, everybody will not do the same, as they might be fatigued. This place was always in my travel checklist and I wanted to visit this jyotirlinga atleast once in my life time. Finally I got a call from Baba Kedarnath ji in the first week of October 2020. It was an extempore plan made by me and two of my friends. I selected this month for travel because as it is covid situation all over so I have predicted that the crowd will be less during this time and might get the best darshan of Baba Kedarnath ji and I was very fortunate enough to get it done. I would like to narrate my experience throughout. We made a booking through traveltriangle app well in advance as this destination requires a detailed planning. I booked a nonstop flight from Mumbai to Dehradun on 9th of October 2020. We followed all the necessary protocols required during the pandemic situation. After reaching the airport our driver came to pick us up and drove to guptkashi. It took approximately 8 hrs of time to reach Guptkashi because of the road repairment work going on the way. The journey was a bit tiring so I would recommend you to book an SUV car which will be more comfortable. After reaching gupkashi we checked-in to our cottages already booked by the travel agent which was one of the pleasant stay. There aren't five star/ four star accomodation available in the vicinity of kedarnath because the temple remains closed for 6 months due to harsh winters. The cottage name was Himalyan comforts which took care of our needs in pandemic situation. Rooms were well sanitized and hot water was available 24 hours along with a complimentary heater for each room . Food was above average. We had booked our helicopters both ways online for the next day well in advance. Helicopter departure is based on the weather conditions but we were fortunate enough to get the best weather and the view from helicopter ride was mesmerizing .It took 9 mins to reach Kedarnath hill top. Return journey of helicopter is totally based on first cum first service basis. Due to pandemic there wasn't much crowd in the temple and we were fortunate enough to get the darshan in 10 mins of time. There is also langar available for the people who want to eat prasad. We took a return helicopter ride post our darshan and by God's blessings we landed safely. It feels like heaven when you reach the vicinity of the temple. People planning to trek kindly make your reservation near the temple area as it is next to impossible to return on the same day as the trek is for approximately 20 kms and needs lot of time and energy to do it . As the trek comes under wild life area so trek post 2 pm is prohibited you have to start it before that. And while returning you need to reach Guptkashi atleast till 5 pm. People with medical ailments kindly avoid going there as the oxygen level is below normal might feel a bit heavy breathed. Kindly consult your doctor before comingvto kedarnath. The weather is extremely unpredictable so make sure that you carry sufficient winter clothes with gloves and extremely good quality of trekking shoes with a thicker sole. P.s - the pandits inside the temple might manipulate you to do some puja or anything else and might ask huge amount for it later after performing it so don't fall in their trap. We stayed their for two night and three days because we made a helicopter booking. People thinking of treking might need 1 more day extra to stay near kedarnath temple. Happy to help you guys! If you have any queries regarding kedarnath do email me on [email protected].

In simple terms, Char Dham conveys the presence of four sacred abodes. But it has a got a great significance in Hindu religion. Char Dham originally used to refer to a pilgrimage circuit encompassing four holiest sites which were located at four directions of India - Badrinath, Puri, Rameshwaram and Dwarka. They were established by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century AD. A relatively smaller circuit of Hindu pilgrimage is formed by the four hallowed places of Indian Himalayas, which are also known as Chota Char Dham. 'Chota' means small in Hindi. Alternately called Char Dham of Himalayas or Char Dham of Uttarakhand, the revered group possesses four sacred sites - Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamnotri.
