Polkapojkarna

Polkapojkarna has over 30 different flavours of candy sticks, old fashioned toffee, chocolate and lots of other sweets. Visit the boutique and bakery where you can take a look at the production and have a chat with the baker men while they're making the polkagrisar by hand. Try some fresh, warm, dough and get a guidance in the Polkagris history for free, and ofcourse shop some candy.

Ramoa Adventure Village

Ramoa Adventure village offers activities as pentathlon, teambuilding activities, kayaks, Mountainbikes and fishing boats. You also may try our Wilderness spa; wood heated sauna and hot tub in combination with a swim in the Lake. This is a typical swedish activity most appreciated during the cold season when we cut a hole in the ice on the lake. Our Small Cafe Mangelboden offers home made cookies and several versions of coffee. You may find overnight possibilities in one of our small cottages holding 4 beds in two bedrooms. The cottages are equipped with a kitchen for your convenience, but can also be booked as B&B. For a more adventurous stay we recommend a night or two in our giant Tipi, where up to 16 persons can sleep in ready made beds.

Store Mosse Nationalpark

This huge mire teeming with birds and other wildlife offers great and varied hiking for even the more discerning nature lover. However, it is families with smallish kids who, in my opinion, get most out of the park. The excellent visitors center is staffed by knowledgeable people, always ready to go that extra mile to show visitors something new. There are are tinned of things for the kids to do, with arts and craft materials, binoculars and microscope ready to be used. Outside the visitors center a short kids trail start which is guided through a story book (free of charge) that in a brilliant watch teaches you kidsen about the local wildlife and ecology, while simultaneously encouraging their sense of exploration and curiosity.

Not much on the outside but definitely worth a visit. A marvellously decorated interior showcasing all the power and glory of the period when Visingsö was a stronghold in Sweden. We could really feel the history in its walls. Don’t miss it if you’re here!
