We had a great visit to the cellar door and winery tour with Jonathan. He was fantastic- knowledgeable and informative - he spent more than 2 hours with the 4 of us. Taking us through the historic property dating back to the early 1800s and vineyard with some of the regions oldest vines. We also enjoyed the wine tasting great wines in the cellar and again Jonathan provided interesting commentary and insights to the wines. We all recommend a visit to Langmeil. Well done Langmeil and thanks Jonathan.

My partner and I met with Val for our tasting at Sieber Wines. Val was warm, nurturing and humorous; like an old, treasured friend. She made the experience even more incredible - she was open, caring and generous with her time and expertise. The wines were well-balanced and tasty - we couldn’t help but take away a selection for our enjoyment at a later date. We can’t recommend Sieber Wines enough, it was a fantastic and memorable experience. We will definitely be back!

As regular visitors to the Barossa, we wanted to discover a new cellar door and wow what a find! This place is absolutely gorgeous. The cellar door is a storybook chalet and the toilet block is like a gingerbread house. The gardens are special too. We were assisted by Eva the owner who was so lovely and the wine is impressive and so affordable too. We will definitely be returning.

Gibson Wines

Meander up through Northern Barossa to the historic village of Light Pass and discover this hidden little treasure. Immerse yourself deep in the Isabelle vineyard while enjoying a bbq or snack by the Old Settlers Cottage or experience a tasting of the extra layers of flavour in these expertly handcrafted wines by the "Dirtman"- Rob Gibson. Relax and enjoy family stories from our friendly staff. Become a Gibson "Friend" or "Adventurer" and take some lovely wine back home to enjoy your memories of the Barossa. Here we connect the historic rammed red earth with the flavoursome wine and modern cellar door...in a way that shows respect for heritage and the earth from which it grew. The original "Angas" title dates back to 1840's with ceding from Angas to Emma Irrgang in 1876. The cottage was built by Angas workmen prior to this date. The Barossavale property includes the rammed earth cottage and rustic surrounds with its old verandah, wood fired oven, modern iron and mud rendered cellar door area, adjacent garage winery, the family home and 3 hectares of land with 2 hectares of the Isabelle vineyard included. The family friendly environment has toys for the little ones, a large lawn area to run around, hopscotch, ring toss and a petanque court. Outdoor seating is provided, so bring along your picnic, relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Barossa.

We had been given a discounted voucher for a platter and glass of wine. It expired though covid restrictions but was still honoured even though they weren't doing platters for another month. Hugh, the everything man, made us up a platter and waited on us beautifully with wine tasting also. There was several tables of wine tasters but he still managed to keep all our glasses going without getting mixed up or leaving us waiting. Brilliant job Hugh and good platter and wine too!

Kalleske Wines

In Kalleske Cellar Door you will be able to taste our current range of wines and hear all about the history behind the Kalleske vines. Cheese platters of local Barossa produce are available to purchase and can be enjoyed on a picnic blanket on the lawn or in our cozy cellar door. Or why not try a self guided food and wine flight where each local produce is paired with a Kalleske wine. Out the back you can find games like Quoits to entertain the kids whilst being surround by a beautiful garden. Come enjoy our wines and learn the rich history that went into making them. In South Australia's Barossa Valley, the Kalleske family have been farming and growing grapes since 1853 near the village of Greenock. They are one of the region's leading grape-growing families consistently growing some of the Barossa's best quality grapes. After six generations of growing grapes, winemaker and seventh generation family member, Troy Kalleske, together with his brother Tony, established the Kalleske winery and made the first 'Kalleske' wine. The vineyard is low yielding with grapes grown organically and biodynamically and the winery is also certified biodynamic/organic. The Kalleske family are active practitioners of sustainable farming. They are caretakers of the land and not only want to maintain the environment but improve it for future generations. All Kalleske wines are estate grown and vinified with minimalist winemaking techniques used to fully capture the essence of the vineyard allowing genuine handmade estate wines to be produced. The range is a diverse mix of wines that showcases the splendid Kalleske grapes. Wines from Kalleske have been seven generations in the making, but they are certainly worth the wait!

We came to the Barossa for the weekend as 6 couples, the highlight of our weekend being The Long Lunch at Flaxmans Fi and Col were just wonderful hosts, they catered for our every whim. The food was amazing, we certainly didn’t go home hungry, and the wine was as always just superb. The Chardonnay is our stand out, although I must say they are all pretty damn good.
